Hi bros,

Did someone ever decided to turn a pannie dial up side down so that it becomes a destro?
As I prefer wearing my pannies on the right wrist, I would like to hear your thoughts about it please.

EddyG you need to consider the seconds at 9 if you have one. Models with no second a hands you could probably rotate the dial 180° to turn into a destro, except if there are dial feet, you may need to grind them for this to work.

Just my thoughts.

Yep you're right, I forgot to talk about the caliber. But if, like Panerai does, you turn it up side down too, it should work, right? Any mod needed if turning both dial and caliber?

Take a PAM 111, for example, and rotate the watch 180°. Everything will be set up for the destro, except you'll have to rotate the dial 180° back to its normal position. But you can't, because there isn't one pivot point (the hour and minutes), but two (1. Hour/minutes 2. Seconds).

You can't pivot a shape that is pinned in two areas.

You can only do that with bases and the resulting watch would most likely be a fantasy model. But to each his own. :)

Well sometimes there is no pleasing people.

And sometimes people don't want to do as others
I think that asking what's the best combo is much more interesting, right?

It's your watch, do what you want. Who are we to argue?

We want to experiment with our watches, but mostly only so far as reality allows. But if you want to go all out and modify the heck out of your watch, feel free.
