UPS holding my watches Canada .. Mount Hope warehouse Ontario

I have already successfully received watches from a dealer in Hong Kong … his prices are good .
My issue is i have 3 watches stuck in UPS warehouse in Canada which is where i am from an hour away from my home … they have been there for 8 days …
The message from UPS is you will be notified of delivery once clearance or resolution occurs
Do i phone UPS and enquire or wait patiently even if it takes weeks to let customs contact shipper … the dealer has sent me the invoice which is ridiculously low .. 60 dollars for 3 watches …. I read from a member never to respond IF customs contact me ,,,, appreciate advice…… thank you for your time … no one has reached out to me for details as such … are customs waiting for me to inquire through UPS before they start quizzing me … i have that invoice.. do I speak to a UPS agent just to see what the hold up is and offer the invoice to speed things up or just wait do nothing till I hear from UPS and customs…. The dealer told me his logistics company asked me to find out what the issue was ..,,

Agree with @TESLA760 here. Commonly, packages are held up by customs for up to several weeks (sometimes even longer), sometimes it can just be luck of the draw. Be patient and hopefully, it will be sorted and shipped in no time!

What he said… just relax and wait. Sometimes it takes longer to get clearance. When you ship with UPS, DHL… there are two sets of clearances.
There’s an electronic clearance that is carried out when the shipment info is transmitted electronically. That’s when the provisional customs fees are assessed.
Then there’s the physical clearance process that takes place when the parcel arrives in your country. This process is to reconcile the electronic provisional clearance with the final clearance and it sometimes takes longer. If you call to inquire about a package all you’re going to do is attract unwanted attention to it and confirm that you are indeed the recipient.
I will also confirm the advise you have gotten to not reply to any customs request regarding this package. If they have inspected the package and request proof of value, it’s already beyond fixing.

Yep the UPS broker is asking for proof of sale when where all that crap … I gave commercial invoice .. not good enough … they want more like a proper bill of sale .. don’t want to give up .. reached out to to dealer to see if he can email something… three beautiful watches .., makes me sick they can do this …. If they seize how do you even know they don’t keep them …. Or do they ship them back to seller ??! Wishful ignorance i know lol

My experience has taught me to only ship one watch at a time via Cheap China Post to avoid seizures. Don’t respond to Customs letters. China Post is slow but my watches arrive.

Thank you all for your support and advice . Just wanted to update that after being in the customs warehouse for almost a month … customs released my package once they received a proof of purchase… working alongside my TD and i got my 3 watches … a patak .. a VC … and a JLC i’ve been in heaven ever since I got them .
