Hi,
My UPO , that I received 3 months ago from Hont, has been working for 2 months and a half without any prob (good for a 240 USD watch ;( )
For 2 weeks now, the crown can't be pushed properly and doesn't screw anymore.
Everything seems to wor fine though, but, there's a 1 or 2 mm space between the crown and the steelcase and it is annoying !
Do you know a good tuto to fix that or even a place where I can buy a new crown (and maybe tube), to fix this problem.
Oh, and ... I'm a newbie so, take care with your advice ;)
Thanks AGAIN !

With what tuto ?

Fellow RWI member (CBR)got me a replacement tube... It was just pressed fit in. Not too sure where to get another tube. Someone will chime in.

I might order a gen one on Ofrei (didn't have a look yet), but I don't know the price.
I didn't really understand how you did change it (sorry, I'm French !)
Thanks

This also happened on 2 UPO's - one mine, and the other my friends.

I ordered 2 sets of genuine crowns & tubes from Ofrei. The tubes have to be bonded in with epoxy though, as they were narrower than the rep tube.

I just pulled out the old tubes using narrow (but strong) pliers

It's easy to do as importer said. Get the gen crown and tube, it's worth every penny. Also get a couple extra stems, the crown and tube are different.

Open that thing up and get going after you get the parts. lol

Press the stem release with the proper sized screw driver.

Find a drill blank with the proper sized hole and pop out the old crown tube.
Mix some marine grade epoxy and glue in the new tube.
Get the stem sized, reinsert carefully and enjoy.

Always screw the opposite direction before screwing down, and when its stuck, dont force it in.
I believe its cross threaded. And now the threads are worn.
