Updated K11 Tank Solo Comparison With AF

Hey All,


After seeing posts about the new K11 tank solo update, I thought it might be fun to see how it stacks up against the NWBIG AF Tank Solo.


**Dial:** Both dials are very good, but the "C" in Cartier and the spacing in Cartier are off on the K11. Cartier logo on the K11 is also printed flat versus the Gen/AF being embossed. Embossing of the Roman Numerals is nice on both.


**Pinion/Hands:** This used to be an easy tell as the old K11 pinion was tiny compared to gen. Both are very close to gen in size now. I would note the bluing on the AF hands reflects more light than the K11.


**Case:** K11 case is a hair larger (0.1mm) and the lugs aren't rounded as nicely as the AF and gen cases. It's subtle for sure, but noticeable when handling them side by side.


**Cabochon:** K11 updated the carbuchon and it is much closer to gen than the more bulbous AF crown.


**Movement:** EDIT: Both were Swiss Ronda quartz. AF has a deco plate while the K11 does not.


All in all an excellent release from K11. Perhaps a mashup of the two should be in order. Big thanks to u/HontWatch for helping source the newer K11 upon request.

Haven't had a chance to handle the F1 solo yet, but the K11 has been nicely updated.

If you can source an AF it is better across the board other than the crown.

That's because it's a completely different model. That's the Tank Must. No idea what factory.
