I didnt find this watch technically. My gf found this watch in a box in the back of her closet. She didnt think much of it until I saw it one day just lying on her dresser. I immeadiately inspected the watch and to my surprise it was a frank muller. My first reaction was that this had to be a replica. The only thing I was sure of was its sapphire glass. Can anyone identify this frank muller? It has writting in the back and says "frank muller geneve, master of complications no.344, conquistador sc". I tried to find this model online but most conquistadors didnot have the moon/sun wheel. Im not even sure this is a genuine now but thought you guys might be able to determine that. Thanks.

The Muller Conquistador King without Tourbillon is $20,00. If that watch is real I hate to think what it's worth

Don't suppose you actually asked her where she got it? And what she or why it was at the back of her closet?

She said her uncle from korea gave her the watch. Thats all I know. I am also leaning towards this is not a genuine. Where do you guys recommend I can take it to get it looked at.

No need to lean, its not gen. Uncle from korea further supports that, as does the fact that its not a real tourby!

No need to "get it looked at". I am 100% certain that watch is a fake.

Thank you, drive through.

Well looks like your watch just went from 100K down to about 200 bucks. :D

Ah... the nostalgia...

This is the same as the first rep I ever bought... my first ever automatic, mechanical watch... and the piece that got me into the downward spiral that is replica collecting.

Mine cost me $20 in a Hong Kong street market. I loved to bits... until I discovered that there are many, far better pieces to be had.

I actually bought two of these, one on a brown strap, one on black. I still have one - but I gave the other to a girl in a Taipei massage house, as a tip. Well... she had been very attentive :)

A little known fact about this watch is that it will report a second time-zone.

That little 24-hour subdial is settable, although the adjustment is somewhat cumbersome.

Here's how to do it:

Wind the main hands backward. The subdial hand will go backwards as you turn the main hands.

For a while.

But after a few revolutions of the main hands, the subdial hand will stop moving. Continue rotating the main hands backward until you have established the desired time difference between the main hands and the subdial.

Then turn the main hands clockwise. The subdial witll rotate as you do so. When the main hands are reading the correct time, the subdial will be indicating the time at your second timezone.

Unless your watch has a different movement to mine. Which is possible, of course.
