uneasy over payment to puretime apparently lost

hi I don't mean to be an ass but im just really confused as to what happened to the money I paid for a recent purchase with pure time.

first of all I want to say that im not trying to dig them out because I pretty much only ever buy through them and have never experienced issues like this but for some reason this Tim were running into a bunch of weird problems...

I had 4 or 5 perfect transactions before this one so I placed this last one on the 7th of April payment method via bank transfer as its worked fine before...

received the instructions over email and sent payment of 343 USD on the 14th and asked for confirmation of the payment since the money left my account (costed me 282 gbp plus 25 quid fees which I know is unrelated)




thinking this was all fine I was surprised when i got an email on the 24th from Alice ([email protected]) saying it didn't go through bc I misspelled the name on the account and missed the first name.

"Can you check this payment. our bank just inform us. you only mention only last name'Kimly' . It missing my first name “ Soy " . can you amend the full name'Soy Kimly' from you bank? other wise this payment can't go into our account."

I contacted the bank to change it and they said I did use both names in the transfer so there was nothing to change.
I told them this felt something was off since I heard nothing back but thankfully yesterday they're now saying they got the payment so im happy.

the only thing is that they're saying I underpaid and sent this:

"
We only got usd288 for this your payment. difference is $55. you can send by paypal.

Your order #100267667 amount is US$55.00. Please send PP GIFT / PPF (Friends and Family Payment) to the PayPal account [email protected]"

ive never had this before so just want to confirm this is definitely them before I send the extra money bc I definitely sent the right amount but I don't know if they might have received less if there were some kind of fees that I didn't pay or something.

once again im not trine throw shade at all bc these guys have been nothing but great in the past... I just wanna make sure this is all legit before I PayPal more money.

It's possible that your bank charged comission and fees to send an overseas transaction, then their bank also charged fees as there would have been currency exchange due to your payment exiting in GBP and the payment being received in USD.

I also think you should confirm with @puretime to make sure the PayPal is their account.

I also think you should confirm with @puretime to make sure the PayPal is their account.
thanks for the advice... not sure if its especially relevant but in the initial payment I was sure to send the money in usd not gbp plus any fees associated

@puretime is it possible to confirm that the additional PayPal request was from you and that it is the correct PayPal address ?
