Transaction was great. @daytonadude was responsive from the jump. This watch was in his add as a 2002 build (black dial and leather strap) and I asked if he had the oysterflex. The leather was beautiful but too fancy for my taste. He said he did and would change the strap. I mentioned I had been wanting a white dial but the black was fine. He offered to change the dial also, even though now I wish I’d kept the black dial since I bought a Gen white face to go on it, lol. Not only did he agree to change it to my liking, he did it that night and an hour later sent me a pic of my new face and strap. A few minutes later, a pic of a box and shipping label. That’s service!
Daytonadude should put a thread up about how to properly pack a watch for shipping and it should be part of the mandatory reading for new members eligible to sell. This thing could have fell out the back of the UPS truck and rolled down the highway and still not have been hurt. After the fiasco I had earlier in the week, that was a relief to see that majority of members don’t ship in a bubble mailer with a couple wraps of bubble wrap.
When the people here at RWI talk about “buy the seller” daytona dude is a prime example of who you buy from. If you’re researching him as a seller, and stumble on this post, don’t hesitate. Buy the watch… before I do.
