ultimate Rubber Strap w Deploment help!

Just received my new ultimate rubber with deployment from Angus,

Its very nice and well finished, much better than the non-ultimate version I was sent earlier (by mistake!)

Only issue is that this thing smells terrible, any one have any ideas / tips on how to get rid of the rubber / chemical smell on it?

Just want it having no smell, don't need to be smelling nice and vanilla like the OEM one.

Baking soda might help reduce the smell.

Just to let you know guys, the OEM does NOT smell like vanilla.... The straps smelling like that ARE the ultimate rep straps, but they are far from being genuine.

My genuine rubber straps had a pleasant scent on them, but nothing like that strong vanilla scent...
