Ultimate PreV build...questions??

hi all,

I would like to build a PreV, preferably a 202/a (2nd choice would be 201/a followed by PreA 9).

I know quality costs so I have set a budget of $1000-$1200 and would like to build or purchase one as close to gen as possible. I guess I could incorporate franken parts if it would lead to the ultimate goal.

Anyways, I am asking the experts here if you had a budget between $1000-$1200 and wanted to build a PreV 202/a or any of the 3 I mentioned which parts would you source to build it or where would you go to purchase a ready made one? I have read about FGD, DSN, Avitt, and others and am a little confused as which parts would be best for certains parts of the watch. I would appreciate any and all help in the right direction since I am new here.

BTW, I already have a gen Dirk V1 kodiak and a gen Dirk V1 shark so the straps would not have to factor into the budget (both already cost me $600 combined). Thanks in advance.

-NK

@Coldi

Could you explain to me the difference between the FGD dial/hand set to DSN's new dial/hand set for the 202/A? Is one MORE accurate than the other compared to a gen? I was informed by gianton that DSN's dial/hand set is more recessed than FGD's. Are gens recessed or flush with the dial?

The indices are deeper so they like can be sunk in the dial. Because the lume does not need to flush with the dial. The lume should be more concave. However I think dsn dials are too thin and to far from the rehault. From the last email I got from simon the indices should be deeper so I would do fgds new dials

Both dials are correct, GENs can be found with dials with thin or fat indices/numerals.

Left thin, right fat:
