It really is a lovely piece - as previous seller identified, the VSF SMP 300's are notorious for having poor alignment and wonky indices. This one is perfect on the wrist, and also runs very well (losing less than 2 seconds per day). The dial and case are in mint condition - there are a few swirls and scratches on the bracelet and clasp (see photos) from day to day wear that are less noticeable in person.
Reason for selling: frankly, this was an impulse buy after I sent off my VSF No Date to be serviced by @Solution6 - since I got the sub back, I've found myself wearing it daily at the expense of this piece. I find that I much prefer the black dial and the lower profile of the sub compared to this SMP (as lovely as it is!). Made the difficult decision to part ways with this piece to free up funds for a more suitable piece (considering an IWC/JLC dress watch next!)
Since purchase, I have ultrasonic cleaned and lubricated the VSF bracelet with silicone grease under vacuum - it's made the world of difference to the bracelet, which now feels premium silky smooth and much closer to gen. The outlay for the equipment for this was >£100 - but no charge to you.
