Bought new from Johnny Depp for €2,850 (£2,460) in March last year and then sent to The Atelier (Solution6) in London for regulating, as the journey from Italy to the UK introduced a timekeeping issue. Now it works like a charm, keeps brilliant time and you can self-regulate the time by keeping it on its side, crown down, overnight, just as you would with a gen. It has a fantastic lume.
In my opinion and after several false hopes, this is the ultimate replica Sub and was my daily go-to watch until – as happens – a floozy in the shape of an AP Royal Oak sashayed onto the scene.
On the Sub are a few hairline scratches here and there, but not many and certainly nothing serious. Of all the watches that have come and gone over the last two years, for me this is by far the most reliable and I am only parting with it as I have moved across to AP and I need funds for a new laptop.
I offer it for sale at £2,250 plus shipping. Lowballers will be ignored. No returns. I pick buyer once green and would prefer UK sale to avoid customs concerns – not that I have experienced any problems, sending many reps across the world. However, I will sell to you if you are an overseas buyer and you are prepared to take the risk. Once the items leaves my hands I will do what I can to help you get it but it’s not my responsibility.
