Got to work this morning and noticed my cg crooked. Lifted the lever and found the top screw gone!! :( It's a DSN 089. Will look for it tonight...any suggestions for replacing if it's not found? TIA

I'd start with contacting DSN.

You'll want to use Ti screws, as SS is harder, I believe. Using SS screws *could* lead to stripping threads on the case, unintentionally if Ti is softer.

I set the time and wound the watch before work this morning. I hope the screw is laying on the kitchen island where I opened the cg lever. That's going to be fun to look for...

Look here, viewtopic.php?f=7&t=57717&start=0

This guy is from HK and deals in hommage watches/parts. Totally trustworthy, he's a trusted dealer on another forum. I've used him twice now, just picked up an ST36 (6497 SWAN NECK, high canon pin) beautiful quality, for $35 shipped, all it needs is Franciscos panerai decal and it'll be going into my 111h along with my DSN dial/handset. All his stuff is basically the same stuff used for most reps but without the branding...

Alas, the screw has been lost to foot traffic/garden knomes. I have looked in the last couple of places that I have handled the watch between last night and this morning and... ...it is gone! I have sent a kind note to David hoping for the best. Thanks to everyone else for the ideas on replacement. I did find out, thanks to a metalurgical lab in my work location, that titanium is, in fact, stronger than steel (both tinsile and rockwell hardness). The met lab supervisor asked why I asked...and I told him only curiousity. LOL

The watch will have to go on injured reserve because the crown guard moving up and down will just result in the bottom screw falling out. What superb timing, considering I JUST got my Heroic18 buckle the night before the cg screw disapeared. Anyway, thanks to all for trying to help. I have posted a couple of eyecandy photos of the new buckle. Enjoy...since I will not :(

don't mean to hijack the thread...but since we are talking about Panny CG...I lost the small lever on my PVD panny...seems like the small pin just slipped out along with the small lever piece...

where can I find PVD crown guard for standard 44mm case? and how much should something like that cost...I got one quote from a 'Jason' in China for $60...i think thats pretty steep...where do you guys go for parts?
