Funny thing about the UBoat watch. I tried on a few gens at the Torneau and the staff all poo pooed the watch, saying it was way over priced, faddish, and not as good quality as other big watches priced in the same range. Keeping in mind many of these sales people are just that, I found it telling that so many of them had the same bad impression. They sure did talk me out of a rep, but I did want one when they first came out. I think some watches have a short term fascination , while others like Panerai, Breitling, Rolex, Omega, and Cartier are a life long love affair. UBoat, Graham, B&R, I think are more like 'one night stand' watches. This is a subject for another post perhaps....I think it important to mention that at this moment there are two dogs asleep in
my over sized bed. (My wife left me but the dogs are nice company) Anyway , one of them, or maybe both farted, and evryone should take note that despite the fumes, they are still welcome.
I think it was the great dane puppy. The chow is here more often and seems to keep a tight sphincter.

I agree that a lot of the watches today will fall out of "style" and some will always be classics. The Rolex, Cartier, Omega, Breitling, will mostly always be stylish. Just like a pair of wingtips.

I would suggest that you stop feeding your dogs chili and beer, that may help! :D

super-glue the he valve from a ssd into that problematic sphincter and your problems will be over ..well over for a bit  if that don't work insert uboat into said sphincter [smilie=alien.gif]

Is B&R a trendy brand? Sure the BR01 is big, and big is in lately.

I have a BR03 on my short list. That seems to me like it's a military inspired classic. Oh, well. That's why I'll but the rep instead of the gen.

Unfortunately an HE valve allows gas to escape, it does not keep gas trapped. We are going to have to come up with another solution.

As far as "fad" watches, how many of you thought your swatch collection would go out of style, along with your parachute pants, members only jacket and Flock of Seagulls hair style?

I think the BR03 or the 01 will always be trendy. It's not a very busy watch and catches attention pretty well and the ones with the colored dials are just brilliant. But that's just me. I don't think my BR will ever grow out on me.

For the good of society, some fads should be declared over. Forever and ever. Like pop culture of the early eighties. Except the Young Madonna.

These are wise word you should all listen to this man. Dig all that 80's crap out of your closets and throw it away. If not for us, do it for the children. :D

I'm not sure how watch fads and sphincter glue became intertwined, but it is the kind of bizzare
combination that makes life so good. :|

If B&Rs are faddy (is that a word? it should be) they have been a fad for, oh, 17 years now. BR01-92 means 1992, as in the year it was released.
