TWP or TWA Modded PAM?

Hello, I'm getting close to ordering my first PAM and need some help, because I still have a lot to learn.
I am thinking of going with TWP or TWA (onece I get my 20 posts) since I want a conus dealer and they both have "fully modded" versions an that's what I want. From what I can tell, they are both great dealers and the watches look top notch.

TWA lists as $395 + $30 servvicing: $425
TWP lists as $425, and I think that includes servicing?

TWA - http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25140
TWP - http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26901

They look alot alike (great). One thing I wondered about was the cannon pin.
On TWP's it looks like the top comes to a point, and TWA's looks flat.
It's tough to make out in the photos , and I may be seeing things.
Anyway, that is very nit-picky and doesn't matter much either way, but I think the Gen is flat on top?

I don't think I can go wrong either way, but any advice from the resident experts would be appreciated by a new guy.
Thanks in advance.

The gens are, indeed, flat on top. That is a nuance modification, though. 99.9% of people would never notice a recessed pin, let alone a non-flattened high pin.

Just pick the one that "speaks" to you....

Both are seemingly great dealers, so I don't think you can go wrong either way.

ThumbWA. Hands down. Great guy to deal with. You won't be disappointed.

BTW, These are just my opinions and not necessarily correct, they are only based on MY experiences.

TWA's servicing is listed at $50 not $30.

While vaccum, who does TWP's mods, offers servicing I see it listed as "tested and calibrated" rather than serviced. I do not take that to be the same.

Servicing, to me, is cleaning and oiling the watch as well as calibrating it when it's done. Although I'm not sure about the calibration part being included with a service, I would think that it is. My advice is to check with TWP or vaccum to clarify if it is indeed serviced.

For the record, I don't think you'd be wrong to go with either of them. vacuum does great work from what I've seen and so does TWA although I've seen less of his. I went with TWA myself and am patiently waiting on my watch.

Well, I love vaccum mods,, he does a great job.. I've asked TWP about double sided AR , if he can pull it off,, I'm going with a TWP 177 modded by vaccum the great!

TWA, very nice guy, has quality mods and reps..

You couldnt go wrong either way. :)

No. Tested and calibrated means what it states. A serviced movement would sell for $450. Hey I've seen watches that TWA has done and vaccum. They both do great work.

I have never sold you anything. So how can this be based on experiences :?:

I'm torn also - ThumbWA doesn't state if his modded 111 is a Swiss 6497 while TWP says his is Swiss. I know to take the "Swiss" claim with a grain of salt, but TWP also states that movement is tested and calibrated by vaccum which is nice.

Based on his experience with TWA obviously :D I think it's pretty clear that you are both excellent dealers - personally I'm leaning toward a piece modded by vaccum 8)

No you have not TWP, I never said you did. Thumb has. I only stated what experience I've had with him. I did not make guesses on your product or service. Thus the disclaimer at the end of my words.

Did that upset you sir? Or was it something else you're not saying? Maybe all a misunderstanding?

I don't know about TWA's mods, but Vaccum's lume job is amazing.

He uses a good mixture that leaves the number markers whiter color when not lit, just like gen.

I am not saying which is better though. Just sharing my experience with Vaccum's mods.

While i would gladly accept your business, I am not in competiton with anyone.

I personnally do all my modds myself, i stand behind every piece i create.

I use genuine tritec pigments and i also offe the newer Nocilumina pigments at the buyers choice.

Whomvers watch you decide to go with you will enjoy fully.

Thumb, Thanks for the info.
I had looked at both, and both looked excellent, and both your reputations seem to be unquestionable.
That's kind of why I posted this question.
I'm sure I would be happy with either, I was just wondering if there were any subtle differences I was missing that others may be able to point out. That's what makes this forum interesting to me...all the details.
Thanks again, you seem like a class act.

By the way, I love the new rubber strap you sent...looks great on my Orange Monster!
