Two BB bronze arrivals

Hi I have become slightly obsessed with bronze watches of recent. I can identify the cause of this recent addiction down to this little fellow, my Timex expedition. Over the couple of years I have had him the patina & wear changes have become most absorbing.
Enter Tudors BB bronzes!

So I couldn't decide between the grey & the Bucherer blue. Bought from 2 different TDs they arrived with 36 hrs of each other- uncanny!
Now I have 2 ( groan). The grey is XF & the blue ZF. Both seem to be good reps with very minor differences.
I love em both but 1 will probably have to go.

Ah... Well I like to suspend some of my bronzos over a bath of hot salted vinegar for several hours to speed up the patina and get a nice verdigris bloom. I did this with the BB, and it looks lovely (to my eye). I buffed it back after the treatment so that the green is just in the nooks and crannies. And I keep the bronze watches out, sat on top of the watch boxes on a window sill so they get plenty of sun and air. As a result its patina is coming along nicely. I'll post a few pics when I'm next on Tapa.

Oh yes ! That is darkening nicely.
I think I will try the " au natruel" method just to see what happens. It will be a mostly daily driver so could be interesting. It may be interesting/ fun to do a comparison in a couple of months....errr if that's not too nerdy, that is

Those leather straps are solid but pretty stiff, aren't they.

Patina update:
The grey has had some daily wear since the beginning of this thread, May 1st.
The blue is minty fresh clean!
The straps are not originals that came with the watches.

Where did you cop the new straps and which do you prefer, xf or zf? really like the look of the black and grey.

I really have enjoyed wearing the grey almost daily & I'm keeping it. Don't get me wrong the blue is a beauty & has a little bit better bezel action but the grey is much more my kind of thing.
The straps are handmade in Albania to order by Dalipi crafts. They are lovely Supple leather & decent workmanship for their price point.

Great to know. Just ordered the ZF in grey. Sounds like the best of both worlds.
