I think a lot of us know this problem, ugly scratched case back screws at a AP ROO.
But it's a easy fix. You just need:
Sandpaper 600 grid
Sandpaper 1200 grid
polishing paste
a dremel with a polish wheel
polishing cloth
and TIME
We also need a good screwdriver because we do not want scratch our screws again after polish!
I found a perfect screwdriver for the back case screws, this one
First we spot the screw we want refinishing.
screw them out
We also need a good tweezer with we can keep up the screw during the entire process
First step is sanding the screw with the p600 paper. Use the tweezer and press the screw not to hard to the paper. Take your time and work slow. we do not want grind too much from the screw.
After using the p600 the screw should look like this
Ok, now we do the same with the p1200 paper
Till the screw look like this
Now it's time to start polishing
I use steel polishing paste gloss and a dremel with a soft polish wheel
Now polish the screw careful with low speed
Now the screw should look like this
much better right?
I polish the screw now with the polish cloth for a better shine
Ok, now we just turn the screw back in place and that's it.
