good evening to all fans. I'm new, sorry if I'm wrong section. I would like to ask two technical questions. If you have a tutorial link about the dg2813 movement, and then if there are technical drawings of the rolex with dimensions at least of the external elements. Thanks to all and good time

Which model of Rolex are you looking for the dimensions of. I know I have seen layout schematics on here before. Maybe try looking for this in the search bar.

Trust me, you don’t want to disassemble a 2813 lol

hello, thanks for the answer. In particular Explorer, sub mariner, I try to do as you say, they are not easy to find especially in pdf, on other topics such as motorcycles and the piaggio vespa you will find everything, if I find it I will let you know, thanks.

Intriguing. Are you asking because you intend to model these things in 3D, or because you want the information for watchmaking purposes?

The reason you won’t find much technical information about the 2813 is because it’s such a cheap movement it’s considered disposable. No one bothers to fix them, just chuck them and buy a replacement.

hi popperini, i would like to do both. Practice on the movements and create drawings in autocad to have a book, if I can, maybe I share it, but of the rolex not of the movement

Ah okay, nice one. Autocad drawings of an oyster case would be really interesting to have access to.

But when it comes to the movement, I'd recommend that you search around for more information on the 3135 or 3235, and make autocad drawings of that - members here would be more interested to see those I expect!

And for practice, as Nickz mentioned, the 2813 isn't a good movement to try and work on. Probably better to buy a few cheap ETA clone movements - 2824 or 2836. They start at around $30 on eBay.
