Hi at all,

in these days i was thinking to replicate this watch, but i really need your support and tips.

first of all the case...

i think that a good base could be a oysterdate/precision or a medium/boy version of datejust.

the most difficult thing for what i can understand will be to find and adapt a bezel on these cases.
Description

The Rolex Turn-O-Graph is the Grand Father of all Rolex sport watches. This watch was manufactured in 1953 and left the factory during the first quarter of 1954. Rolex collectors recognize 1954 as the year that Rolex introduced the Submariner. Even a cursory look at this watch reveals its influence on the later Submariner and GMT models. This is a 100% original mint to mint+ third series Turn-O-Graph.

Original stainless steel case measures 35mm diameter by 13.5mm thick. Original screw down crown operates smoothly. We had a new old stock 6202 crystal put on the watch, as the dial deserves it. The Turn-O-Graph bezel is original and its insert is mint. Note the round minute markers that go all around the bezel and the original red arrow point at the 60 minutes position. Case is in mint and, importantly, 100% original condition.

Original black dial is a true pleasure to behold. First of all, this dial is completely organic and untouched. Gilt print. Clean and gorgeous and uniform patina across the hour markers and original hands. Chapter ring around the minutes chapter. And the hands, what a treat. Original pencil style (pre Mercedes) hands, ultra rare original seconds hand with dot on the end of the hand. The dial and hands alone on this watch are an exquisite treat.

Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber A296 with 19 jewels. Movement is clean and running great.

Bracelet is riveted Rolex Oyster with 11 links.

Looks similar to a Tudor 7923... Here is my build. Smaller than a big crown 6538.

Nice one B!

Trouble with the Turn-O-Graph is it was 35.5mm. Hard to find a base that size on which to build. Probably easier to make a 6204/5 and 7923 like DVNE did.

exactly... the main problem are dimensions, In fact, even if I chose an oyster case would remain the problem of the bezel...:cryingbadly:
