Apologies if this has been discussed before, I tried to search but couldn't find anything directly relevant. Does anybody know if any of the factories have plans to produce a rep of the newest version Tudor Ranger 39mm?

I'm guessing it wouldn't be a huge seller but might attract a bit of attention for people wanting something a bit simpler than divers or the Explorer (probably it's closest comparator). I'm surprised given that it's been out a few years now that it's never had any rep made (that I could find at least!).

Nothing unfortunately. There was a rep of the earlier 41mm ranger but they stopped making them a few years ago

Glad my searching skills weren’t failing me then!

I had the opportunity to try on the Ranger and it fit like a dream and looked great to boot. But when I look at it in pics I don’t know, something just doesn’t quite gel. I’m not sure if it’s just ‘off’ due to it not being very photogenic or if IRL I’d find fault with it. Enough of an uncertainty to put me off buying gen anyway for now.

Get yourself one of the Clean Factory 124270 and it'll scratch that itch for that size and profile, unbeatable in my opinion. An alternative affordable gen would be the Longines Spirit. I didn't own it but tried it on and it was great

I've tried two Cronos Explorer 39mm homages (close enough to the OG Rolex for me) - the first I regretted selling so bought a new one, but haven't been able to bond with it. Just too shiny for my taste, although it fits probably one of the best of all the watches I've tried over the years.

The Longines just doesn't do anything for me (although I appreciate they're pretty good value still).

Cronos explorer is really nice but only seen press information, never had one in hand. I hate when you sell a piece and you are never able to replace it. Sellers remorse!

Yeah it's cracking value and very well built. If you want to start getting really nerdy it incorporates some of the features of the 40mm Explorer like the glossier dial too (and I'm not certain, but possibly the slightly thicker hands). The Easylink is spot on as well (not that I've tried the gen of it). Visually it's identical to the one I had first time around but it's just not got that 'something' of the first time around!

Now you've got me hunting for one, thanks 😂
