Hi Guys,

After buying a few reps, I've become more and more interested in 'making' my own rep build. A 36mm Tudor Prince day date is the type of build I am wanting to create, however I am unsure about the compatibility of the parts that I'm choosing. The parts are all from Raffle Dials, as that is the only site I am aware of.

After searching up about the build I want, all/most of the raffle dial parts state that they are for the 2834 movement. However there is only a clone 2836 in their store, I can't seem to find a definitive answer if the clone 2836 movement can have its day wheel to be replaced with a 12-o'clock 2834 style day wheel and if the dial/casing will be compatible with the 2836 and wheel?

The Parts :

- Tudor 28.5mm Silver Dial

- Silver Tudor day date hands

- Tudor Prince 36mm Case

- Clone 2836 movement

- Tudor Rotor

- 2834 Day disc wheel

I would appreciate any help regarding the compatibility of the build, If I have missed any parts, or if there are better alternatives for the parts that I have listed (with similar pricing).

(Also this is my proper first post on RWI, so if I haven't correctly formatted the post, or if I've broken a rule, I apologise.)

Thanks for reading my post :)

One just sold m2m it was lovely. Would need a bracket also right?

Yeah i'll need a bracelet, but I was initially wondering if the build parts would actually work together, and then decide what type of bracelet/strap i'd like to use.

Hello,
I made almost the same watch silver sculpture dial with golden indexes. I didn't need a date wheel. I swapped the bezel for a genuine Rolex engine turned one and changed the plexy for a better one. It worked very well, but I sold it to build a different one later.

Hi,

I'd say if you're going to go ahead, it would definitely be worth getting an eta 2834-2. The would make everything run buttery smooth. The raffles case is almost perfect. The font on the engraving on the caseback is slightly off, but apart from that, it's great. The bracelet is really good quality with a solid clasp. The raffles dials are ok, but if at some point you can get a gen dial, it really makes the watch a keeper. Ebay throws a dial up sometimes but you have to be patient. You can pick up an eta 2834-2 on ebay quite easily, and they come with a datewheel, but probably not with the correct font, but depends how picky you are. You can even replace the crown with a gen, but the rep one is pretty good.

A Tudor 76200 is very understated, a great size, the bracelet is unique in the Rolex family.

Good luck!
