Tudor P01 hated

Why is the Tudor p01 hated but the omega ploprof loved and adored? Personally I love the p01 and I think it’ll be a later classic. Especially if Tudor discontinues the model soon. I’m aware of the bracelet strap issue of the p01. It’s awkward to say the least, but it’s beautiful. Just classic enough of a look to make people second guess a purchase but crude and goofy at the same time. The ploprof is similar in respects to ascetics. It’s crude and goofy as well. Might be a tad more wearable, though. I’d at least put them hand in hand but most people don’t. I’ve always wondered why. So ……. Let’s hear it. Both sides of the aisle. Are they similar or is one or the other trash?

I think a lot of people hated it initially, but those who had the chance to see it in person changed their mind immediately. I've seen a lot of videos and reviews of people taking back their initial criticism.

It's one of those "it looks ugly on the computer, so, I hate it!" things.

I have not seen it in person but I have loved it since it was brought out. It's quirky, it's unique, it has a purpose, it has history.

Me too. Thankfully it took me so long to purchase one. I got a steal under 3k. I will say, Though. It’s tough to wear. It took a week or two to get used to. Hard sharp edges with a tall measurement on the wrist. Coming from a typical 40mil sub it was uncomfortable.but I still like it. It’s so unique and with a in house movement, it’s a steal right now. I’ve been saying a Hail Mary everyday that it gets discontinued soon lol. Limited numbers plays into my favor.

Hell yeah.

I see you changed the straps, that was going to be my next question as a lot did not like the strap arrangement.

I don’t like it. The strap is crap. I had to put some leather conditioner on it and the two rings started separating with tiny strands within a week. It’s trash. I ordered a rep Tudor bracelet, though. Will be modding it up in rwi fashion soon.

The Ploprof is a truly one-off quirky piece of design. The Tudor looks like a Willard Seiko homage crashed into a Tudor.

I had the chance to try on a P01 a few months ago. Always liked the looks of it but once on wrist found it a bit strange. The north flag is the strange/odd Tudor I wish was repped.
Congrats though, it probably will be a collector in the future.
