Hi, I am new to Tudor, but like the look of the fastrider black shield. Has anyone looked at the reps? Are they good quality?

Tudor Fastrider Black Shield Rep Quality?

Superb watch but quality could be questionable I think. I have studied the gen in my local AD shop and have been hoping this would be repped. Now it is here I have my reservations. Recently sold my Black Bay with rep leather strap and deployment to possibly fund one of these. I hope the deployment is better quality on this than the Black Bay. It was very flimsy. Probably gonna wait a bit to see some reviews.
At first looks it has my attention, but I am not sure on the quality. Will try and get some pictures of a gen and see if I can look closer at the rep vrs gen.
Imho it´s got too many flaws to justify the price and A7750 risks of the automatic version.
On the other hand and just to satisfy the urge of having it, while getting a reliable beater,
the sub $200 quartz version is well worth the while.

It´s right, but it brings the rep to $368 + shipping + $250 service +$30 shipping back and forth to service: at almost $800 there are too many alternatives, if You add some lume and AR while it´s being serviced anyway it breaks the $1000 - threshold.
A $1000 is a lot to splash out on a decent rep, not great!! Might just wait for the next version or save for a gen!
I bought blackshield brown from earlier version which quality is good rep, unfortunately the case is not ceramic like gen. Pretty nice Asian 7753 watch!
I love this watch and want a rep in a bad way but I will wait until a ceramic version comes along.
Gen is ceramic, rep is black coated DLC. Gen has bright deep red, rep red is kind of not glowing and dull. Gen has relief on the numbers of the subdials, on the rep they are painted. Engravings on the outer bezel are not deep enough. On the hourmarkers (inner bezel) the rep has some irregular, strange grey blobs. With the A7753 movement imho it´s not a watch for somebody who is new to the scene, it´s something for a member with some other reps already as alternatives and who has the contacts to his reliable goto watchsmith/ modder established. The experienced member normally will not buy it because of the flaws and it´s price.
As there is no specific buyer for the product You almost don´t see it (except the much cheaper quartz versions with even more flaws but at a good price and with the reliability of quartz). For going real ceramic there are options, but not in the Tudor range. I wonder if You can set the date at 9 with any pin or if You always need the special tool with You.

Love this watch and might have gone for it but for the review. Thanks for the heads up, will wait for a better one
