Tudor Black Bay ZF V5 vs ZF Shield

Hi All, has anyone come across a tread doing a conparison between the below two watched?

the later being the latest and i understand that the dial is different (shield /rose logo) and the later being thinner. But other than that else is different ? Any insight will be helpful.

Rose is great mate. I have both and love my rose. Toksic the dial print on the shield is much better. But that's not saying the rose is a terrible print. The dial is just more golden on the shield vs more brown on the rose, and applied so that it is raised print vs the rose print that is flat.

Otherwise, other that the different bracelets which are totally a preference thing, the shield thickness is substantially more than the rose. This is really the deciding factor. Honestly, the dial print you can live with, but you will def know a difference when wearing them based on the thickness. The shield sits way higher on your wrist, and the rose feels better because it sits noticeably lower.

That being said, I love both of mine. They're great, so if you are thinking about buying, just pick based on if you are comfortable with a large higher sitting watch or not.

Rose is better in my eyes, not as thick case, and i love the round type at the bottom. I have the blue shield version and its to tall on leather strap

Have to agree with English gent. I just find myself wearing the rose more. However, I will say that I wear my rose more in the office but my shield more with a pair of jeans on the weekend.

You can't go wrong with the shield, it's fantastic. The question now is, which bezel colour do you choose!

Very good question CanRep. I initially wanted the bronze one and started reading about it. While reading I got swayed to black bay red and now swaying towards the green. Meanwhile I like the GMT as well but the mis placement of the hands put me off a little bit. I need the watch for both casual as well as formal look.

I'm waiting this one.
I'm buying the gen one pre owned but it seems that this rep is really 1:1 so i would like to see if it's true.
