Hi everyone

I am currently looking for a no date diver watch and I am torn between these 3:

- Tudor Black Bay Heritage Red ZF V3
- Omega Seamaster 300 Master Co-axial V6F
- Rolex Submariner No Date Noob V5

I am also considering a Rolex Deep Sea Sea Dweller (DSSD) although I would prefer to stick to the first 3 as of now. These diving watches would probably be worn more on a nato strap than on their usual stainless steel bracelet... maybe even a leather nato strap :)

Please give me some of your opinions on which would would be the perfect choice :)

Cheers guys

Really hard to choose because I love all of them lol but because you had mentioned you're planning on wearing them on a nato I would pick the Tudor or Omega because those looks better on a nato than the Sub ND.

I have a No Date Sub V5 and a V2 Black Bay.
They are both keepers in my opinion. Work very well and look great. I guess thats why i have them both. I can never decide. Omega's just dont do it for me as reps or Gens. The New Subs are meant to be on Steel Bracelets where as vintage sub rock a Nato all day long.

I was recently in the same boat as you. But I also had the seamaster poc and the explorer II in the mix. After some thinking I decided it was time for a low key watch. So I went with the omega. Forgot that my bank has easter vacation. So I'm waiting for the payment to go through. Seamaster 300 on a nato strap would be a good choice. Price wise I would go with the Rollie or omega. I'm not willing to pay 300 for a bb. Good luck:)

I'd go with the Tudor! What kind of use will you be making? If daily you might fund the Sub more versatile!

I have a Tudor BB Red V1 and the Omega 300 Master Co-Axial. Of the two, the Omega is a tad larger/thicker, but it's really not any more noticeable than the BB when on the wrist.

I put the Omega on a grey and black striped NATO (ie: Bond in Spectre) whereas the BB is on a distressed StrappedForTime leather strap that I restitched with more gen-like colored thread. I think the BB would look good on a NATO as well, but I've never wanted to put it on one.

I like them both, but if I absolutely had to choose between the two, I would go with the Black Bay. It feels a bit more versatile and I like the laid back nature of it. I'd like to get a V3 version sometime and maybe swap the insert with my V1 (I prefer the V1 pearl) or maybe get a gen insert if the right deal comes along.

Rolex Sub No Date if you're going to use it as a beater. Get the Tudor as your second watch. I have never owned the Omega so cannot comment there. All 3 are great pieces for sure!

The poll so far from everyone's post:

- Tudor: 4
- Omega: 2
- Rolex: 2

Seem like the Tudor is the winner so far. Just for anyone's interest I was thinking of wearing this in more formal / semi formal occasions (answering to Capt. Obvious) better than wearing my Panerais :p

e.g. a suit or blazer for formal events and just trousers & a nice shirt for semi formal events.. Hope this helps

Ugh this is so tough will wait and see anymore opinions on this :) Thanks everyone so far

The Tudor is more versatile. You can dress it up or down. The Omega would be my second choice. I am not a huge fan of the Rolex ceramic line up

I have owned the Omega CoAx 300, Black Bay Blue (v2) and BK Sub-C. My preference is:

1. Sub-C
2. Black Bay
3. CoAx 300

The quality on the Sub-C and Black Bay were much better than on the CoAx 300.

My Vote:

1) Omega, No one will question authenticity.
2) ND SUB C from BK and see if you can get him to do the paint mod if not do it yourself....Expensive but BK is super Quality.
3) Tudor BB, I hate the hour hand but otherwise love the watch. No one will question authenticity.

Oh and No, No, No on the Nato, Leather on the Tudor OK but go for quality from Hamilton or Gunny.

Pretty much, I am wearing mine right now. I am not a big "Rolex" name fan. As such, for me your options come down to a choice between the SeaMaster and the Black Bay. With that in ind, my Black Bay is getting a lot more wrist time than my SeaMaster,

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I`m also in a very big doubt between the SM 300 Co-ax and the Black Bay Black.
I like the Seamaster style better, however I know that the Black Bay quality is on pair with the gen.
Thats sets me a little farther from the Omega, as I have heard that their bracelet is not of a very good quality.
Said that, could someone who have seen both give me an opinion about the overall quality and feel of both watches?

Thanks in advance,

Ronald
