This is my absolutely favorite watch right now. I have looked at Homage watches, but have not found anything comparable. Mainly because nothing is in real bronze, they are in PVD Bronze.

Specs wise I cannot get anything comparable to the replicas on Puretime for the price. A couple of questions first, if I may.

1. For those that have a Bronze BB replica, it is a real bronze case and will develop a patina - correct? And do both reps have Bronze cases

2. There seem to be two reps a z and an x - which one is the consensus better watch?

I have searched on here and it appears that at least one of the two reps have a real bronze case maybe both, but just want to confirm, and last info I saw was that the Z seemed to be the consensus better watch.

Thanks everyone for their time.

Both are real bronze and they develop a patina. XF is a better rep than ZF, if you're looking to get the blue version.

I confirm what Therion666 said, the Blue BBB from XF is considered a super-rep

I will order this come payday.

Good luck mate.
the last time I tried to order this from PT, they returned like 5 pieces to factory because the watches came with too much dirt.
Not patina, but dirt on the case like it was scratched by charcoal.

I wouldn't mind getting one too if there's a nice piece now.

QUESTION: An ETA 2824 is a straight swap?

With what? Assuming another Gen 2824 ETA then yup. Otherwise there are some alternative cheaper swaps if it breaks on you down the road and you don't want to fork out for an ETA.

I picked this XF version last week via InTime. There seemed to be some marks on the case (see on the bottom left lug and side of the case - pic 1 and 2, but they were just patina and cleaned straight off. I’ve received the watch and very happy with it!!

One question: how do I remove patina from this model? Lemon doesnt work for this case?

Thanks!

Yup, a straight swap. I'm thinking of doing it with a Heritage Black bay myself. I find that the clones don't wind very smoothly and I just keep waiting for the movement to go on me mid wind!

I have a vintage 80's Seiko 5 I am replacing the 7s26 with an NH36. Looking forward to winding and hacking.

Nice! On the subject of Seiko, I wish they would Rep the grand seiko snowflake. Probably near impossible to do, but I would buy it in a heartbeat!
