Do they make a seconds hand for Tudor BB without the hole in it? I feel like that's the fastest (and basically only!) way to spot a rep. Thanks!

He isn't talking about the hands. The cannon is visibly different on many of the reps. It appears hollow while the gens do not. It is an easy tell if one is close enough (or looking at a picture).

Oh. Yes. The only solutions is to do the H4 canon pinion conversion. Or replace the 2824 clone with one of TCs clones.

Gen

So you are saying that the hand itself is just the same, but the hole looks smaller because what's visible is the gen cannon pinion? Does TC make the correct color pinions in his mvmts?

Thanks!

I searched on H4 canon pinion conversion and found two links. They appear to be focused on changing the cannon hight; however, they should point you in the right direction,

https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/125171-A2824-2-cannon-pinion
https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/205338-ETA-2824-2-H4-conversion

I have not done this on mine; however, it looks simple enough. I may try it (don't wait for me to do a writeup, I am in several other projects and this would probably not even get started until next fall.

If it makes you feel better, it isn't very visible. You, and I, notice it because we are very aware of it. However, it really does pass the 3' test.

it can also prevent the hands from dragging on the dial...depending on the hands you use

Right, that appears to be the main purpose of the conversion I linked to. However, on the BB that isn't a problem. In fact, I would look on Ofrei and try to find the same size cannon, just a gen eta one with the closed top.

I am not going to post a part number because my BB is all together and I don't want to take it apart right now.

Either this guy was selling a gen or the issue was fixed in the v4! https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/313264-Tudor-Heritage-Black-Bay-Red-ZF-V4

Although by looking at other reviews of the v4 (I.E. https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb...Rep-V4-Picture-Comparison!?highlight=tudor+v4 or https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb...-Black-bay-v4-photo-review?highlight=tudor+v4) or looking on TD's websites (although those aren't often updated...) it looks like it hasn't changed!

I'm so confused! What do you guys think? Ibn_Hasaf
