Tudor BB Red Superrep?

For some reason I picked up another Gen Tudor Black Bay. This time the Red Bezel one. Wanted to test it out vs the ZF rep, and boy are they close.

Yeah definitely seems that way

#1 is rep. #2 is gen

easiest way to tell is pearl and handstack, like on the s&g

Top is rep, as is obvious from the dial printing. The rest of the rep is excellent but it's like they didn't even bother to try in that regard.

hi, what is the gen lume color? ive searched some pics they have green and blue lume color.

i look the bb in TD web the lume is green. is it correct?

The lack of reflection and depth on the ZF's printing is a let down. The S&G seemed to mimic it well, somewhat. Also the hands on the ZF seem flatter than on the Tudor BB

on the gen, the hour, minute and second hand are even spaced apart.

on the rep, the minute and second hand are closer than the hour and minute hand.

look at the surrounds and the lume itself.

on rep, the surround is more of a cone and the pip is domed.

on gen, its more of a cylinder and pip is recessed.

Look at the small hole at the very center of the hands fixation. Seems it’s quite often that Reps have a hole when gen not. It’s a finishing issue most probably.

yep, good catch. didnt even notice it.

Jeez I wish they would improve the crystal on the rep. It’s the biggest tell imo. At any oblique angle the rep goes white, while the gen stays clear.

Question for those with both gen and rep: When setting the time, do the hands turn the same way on both? Just wondering if you turn the crown the opposite way on the new in-house movement (vs the ETA).. Just like how the Rolex (and SH3135) movements work? Or if it's the same as the ETA..

honestly, couldnt tell you and i wear my gens all the time lol.
