I have ordered and received the QC pics from intime TD. I chose this dealer as they got good reviews.

why did I choose the Rose dial when the Shield is the same price.
1. Both version have an Asian 2824-2 movement. This is correct for the rose version. The shield Gen has new in-house movement.
2. The Shield version is thicker. If I was buying genuine I could allow for the in-house movement but as it doesn't have it I feel it's not worth the extra bulk.

The QC pics seem fine to me. However the quality or resolution is poor. The only thing I can see that I have a question on it the buckle. It appears to have a large gap where the locking clasp folds down. Is this correct for this watch?

I hope I'm not breaking rules by including link to images.

This is the quickest I have seen shipping from China. If it's in London I should have it Monday or Tuesday providing customs doesn't stop it.

For what it worth here is my reasoning behind this model.

1) I'm not the kind of guy that would be wearing a Rolex Blue collar etc so even if it was genuine people would assume it's not.
2) I was very close to buying the real thing last year. Missed opportunity. If I buy now I'll buy the Shield model with in-house movement. I may still in the future buy the Chrono BB.
3) it has an Asian 2824-2 movement which is as close to genuine watch as you'll get in replica.

If you buy the Shield model it will have the 2824 clone movement which is incorrect for that model. It also is thicker to make it look like it has the in house movement. There must be a void inside. Not really a big deal but I'd rather not.

My first time buying a rep watch so I wasn't sure what to expect.

I'll post some images when I get it. I'm thinking it will come today or tomorrow.

It has arrived.

a little review.
The deal. It was efficient and delivery time was great. Much better than expected. Packed well and secure.
no issues at all.

The watch.
Its a beautiful watch.
I can see the font and printed markings are not as original. With the missing petal on rose. But only because I know to look for it. It doesn't look wrong.
The applied marker at 9 has a couple of tool marks on it but not bad. The case is perfect. The strap is perfect. The signed crown is really good.

The movement. Setting the time feels good. Winding the movement is not as smooth as on my Steinhardt which has the swis ETA 2824-2. The Asian clone movement is a bit grittier to wind. Also the rotor is a little louder. I didn't look inside so I can't comment on how it looks.

This might sound like a lot but I'm being ultra critical. It's really very good and nobody could tell it's a Rep on the wrist or in hand unless they know what to look for.

overall I'm very happy. This was my first Rep. I have mixed feelings about buying Reps but as a watch Its a good experience so far.

one last point. I didn't need to remove any links only one micro adjustment. This is fine for me. My wrist is large but not the biggest I have seen. So if you have an extra large wrist you may need additional links. I don't know my wrist dim but I have to normally remove a link or two. I took two from the Steinhardt.
