Tudor 9401 build
Hi guys,
Let me share with you my 1st attempt building a watch.
Tudor Submariner 9401 French Navy build using a Bivintage case and Dial.
Specs:
case - Bivintage
(included insert, crown, glass, movement holder ring and hands set)
Payed for `better' inserts (2 of them, to have a go at ageing), peal pip and crown (but have no idea if this extra cost got me anything different..)
Dial: (no date, feet 12:42)
Engraved:
"M.N.77"
Serial "879578"
Lug holes for 2mm "fat" bars
The crystal and hands are ´generic´and provided with the Bivintage case, and not great looking.
I added a Swiss ETA 2824-2, and a (expensive) NDC MN parachute strap.
This is it, after assembling all parts, without any ageing or other modifications:

The lume, particularly in the hands, is not good, and I will work on it.
Still. the overall feel on the wrist is great!
Super light and comfortable on the parachute strap, and as my 1st ´plexiglas rep´, im really happy with its ´character´.
If anyone has suggestions for hands and perhaps a crystal or other improvements and ageing tips, I'm all ears!
Cheers!
