Anyone know if this model can be found as a replica or as a project kit?

I have never seen one. There are rep dials that pop up once in a while but no watches or kits.

A few of us have discussed using a 7750 Daytona case and trying to piece one together, but it has not gone past the conceptual stage that I know of.

There is a Italian seller on eBay who sells 79170 cases, I have one and is decent.

Build with the eBay Case kit.
But this is not Plug and Play.
The Case needs a lot of work.
Gen Parts don't fit easily, but I managed to get it right.

If you interested in a Part List here it is

Case Kit include Dial from Italia Seller.
Case must be reshaped, drilled Lugholes to 1,2mm
Countersink and retap the Tubehole to fit gen Tube.
703 Crown and Tube
Maybe better pushers if needed
25-130 Tropic but it is not a straight fit
The Rehaut.must be shaped in Diameter a bit or you thin out the Tropic.
ETA Valjoux 7750 movement or Asia.
You can ask the seller for watch hands too.
The small hands must be wided a bit to fit.
You need 589 Endlinks and a good 78360 bracelet.
