Hi all,
I have a gen Tudor eta 2892a2 movement I am interested in making a build around. It was used in a Tudor Monarch). Datejust like watch.

My first thought was to buy a ZF black bay 41 that comes with a clone 2824. I know that is 1 mm thicker and I am not sure if this has been done before. Also, the date wheel will need to be replaced and I was hoping to use the one from the ZF Tudor.

Is there a way to make this work? If not, any other ideas for this movement? Thanks ⏱️

You could probably find answers on the 2824 datewheel compatibility, I'd be concerned about stem height being off. Maybe 1mm can be dealt with at the dial spacer, but you need to take care with datewheel. I'm sure others will chime in.

Regarding stem height:

Here is a comparison of the stem heights for the ETA 2892A2 and ETA 2824-2 movements:

- **ETA 2892A2**: The stem height is 1.50 mm
- **ETA 2824-2**: The stem height is 1.80 mm

.3 spacer? Just considering options. Any other case build ideas?

The Tudor route may not be the easiest way to go. The movement would easily suit an IWC spitfire or maybe a Breitling navitimer heritage’57 which both use the movement as their base.

Yes, older Omega seamaster (pre coaxial days) used this movement, as did a number of breitling diver watches like the steelfish.
