Some issues with Andrew at Trust time and a suggestion you take additional measures when dealing with TrustyTime.

First Issue, I ask if a watch is in stock, he confirms and coordinate on payment. I pay within a day or two. 2 weeks later he says its not in stock and has no idea when it will be. I asked why did he accept payment on a watch he couldnt deliver on and why are we just learning of this weeks after payment. Of course many apologies but no response as what can one really say when this issue arises.

When dealing with Andrew, ensure you ask him what in stock means. Is there more than 1 'in stock'? I doubt there was a run on a IWCs over the couple days it took to send payment.

We agree on an alternate Brietling. Takes some time to get, which is fine, and he sends QC pics. Everything looks just fine; however, don't assume he actually tested all functions. He ships me a non functioning watch that looks just fine in the pics. The date adjust doesnt work, and the chrono start/stop plunger gets stuck in the bazel first time depressed.

When dealing with Andrew, ensure he actually tests all functions on the watch. You need to get a video from him for your particular watch as things like this are masked in QC pics . He isn't checking it before he ships them.

This is my 4rth purchase from TrustTime and also the last.

I never received videos from him. I thought he just doesn’t make them.

“In stock” often means “available from the factory,” not “I have it on hand».

And watches are intricate machines, the chances are higher that it was damaged during shipping rather than already being damaged when Trusty had it. It happens quite often if you haven’t noticed.

There are two things that are unfortunate here: the first is that you’ve been unlucky and received a damaged watch. The second is that you’re throwing Trusty under the bus after three successful purchases and one unfortunate one. Especially when the reason you’re blaming him is largely beyond his control imo.

And have you given him a chance to make things right before writing the review?

I always thought the styrofoam boxes he ships with are better than what I’ve received from otherTDs. Theirs are even alarming to me in terms of not seeming too good in insulating against damage I’d urge everyone to ship with these boxes

How do you prove this? Is it possible for the rep gone dead during the harsh treatment during shipping? I have tried at least twice, the TD has shown me a video that the rep works well, but when I received it, it went dead within minutes.

You're saying you had a working watch go DOA multiple times? I was thinking this would be rare orrurance else a lot more would be posting if half of what they got was not functional on arrival. The issue is the plunger for start/stop is physically stuck, the hands still works. While the watch is an intricate device, and strange things could happen. I would understand a DOA watch that was mishandled.

thats good to know, the styro box is beyond other dealers.

Regarding the other comments they're valid complaints. So thank you for your review.

However, can I ask which Breitling you have purchased?

Well, at least twice. One of them is a highly modded rep, I have written about it, feel free to take a look: https://forum.replica-watch.info/th...pp-5711-1016-and-so-on.10962760/post-11892408

It happens far more than you think, IMO it all depends on your luck. Apparently, I am not a good-luck kid.

I have used Andrew exclusively for the past few years and have had very few issues. He always lets me know if the watch is not in stock. I have had a few watches stop working shortly after receiving them. This is to be expected in this game. He always sends me to a guy near me to get it fixed. I believe Andrew to be an honorable dealer. Problems will happen in this hobby, it's how you react and get a resolution that will make or break your experience. FYI The cheaper watches break more easily IMHO.

Not saying your complaint isn't valid, just want to share my experience with Andrew to let you know he is a good dealer and will take care of you if you communicate with him. Sorry about your watch I know it can be very frustrating when something goes wrong. But, it's not Andrew, it's the manufactures who should be doing the quality control before they give Andrew any watches he has ordered. My two issues were both Panerai one was the "Fiddy" so I understand the frustration, That's one of my favorite watches. This is the black market so he's taking the same risk reselling as you are buying. I doubt he will send verification videos, maybe I'm wrong but this is the BLACK MARKET and it comes with some risk.

I understand how frustrating this is, as it’s happened to me with another dealer. “In stock” apparently means different things to different people, which to me is absurd. I suppose “do you have it in your possession” would be a safer option. One things for sure, and that’s that no matter how clear we are, most times questions aren’t answered concisely. Idkw this is, but it seems shady when you compare it to legitimate businesses.

But, as said earlier, this is the black market, which is inherently shady. If someone buys drugs on a street corner, that’s more similar to this game than going to a pharmacy. It’s a problem you can only weigh yourself. If it’s unacceptable, then maybe reps aren’t for you, or maybe just buying new isn’t. Personally, I’d prefer to buy m2m, so consider that next time.

I agree that all reviews are important, both good and bad. However, this type of review would be so much more “valuable” if they also mentioned something about the after-sales support.

Has Trusty, for example, already offered to have you send the watch back, or has he completely refused to assist you altogether? At the end of the day, you can be unlucky no matter who you choose. In my opinion, it’s how they follow up with you that really matters in the end.

Anyway, I hope everything works out for you!

4th purchase, 1st 'review', got it.

Your 'review' is missing some key facts though, the main ones being a full timeline & whether you tried to resolve this with the TD prior to posting (not a rule btw).

I do hope you get the resolution you are looking for.

Was wondering about the same. Where's the other 3 reviews? Somehow, this word comes to mind, in its broadest sense: freeloading.

I’ve used Andrew over 10 years with no issues, same with Jtime, Josh at perfect clones. Is it possible Hes shipping FedEx and they basically throw the boxes since it’s the cheapest way to ship. I had that issue with li at jtime, it was FedEx throwing the box- I’ll look for the video the watch was doa- kinda the hands came off I sent it out locally to Michael on here, fixed it water tested it and sent it back.

Sometimes the issue maybe the shipper

I never heard of Trusty shipping by FedEx. I guess you have to request it? when it comes to mishandling a package I wonder now who has the worst reputation: FedEx or USPS?

this year my local post office has become awful and I’m really worried I might not get a watch, like I didn’t with something else because of them, and if FedEx mistreats packages I guess I’m really screwed if I want to order another watch

I have used Trusty for all watches except one from jTime.
Had an issue with a Tudor from Trusty that arrived with a messed up rotar but they replied quick and got me to ship it to a local watchmaker.
I paid for the local shipping and got it back fixed. Due to this after sales service Ive kept using them.
Hopefully you can work out some repair service with them.

I never received videos from him. I thought he just doesn’t make them.
Same, i bought 3 orders (2 orders on the way and 1 waiting a QC) but with the 1st order i asked for a Video and he said that the watches undergoes full checks and inspection but they don't send videos to clients.

Hopefully my watches arrive with no issues as i trusted Andrew about doing all inspections for days before sending QC photos.

I received one watch in slightly different condition from the QC photos so I learned I can’t necessarily count on them definitively I just hope the movement works the most now
