Trusty PAM 212

Hi Guys,

I really want to get the Pam 212 flyback from trusty but I need an honest assesment of the look and possible mods I could do to 'Ulitmize' it...

Does anyone know if a swiss ETA 7750 moement exists built with 30 jewels as the marking on the the watch say 30 but this movement has 25.

there is no 30 jewel 7750. It says 30 on the rotor because the gen has 30 due to the additional flyback mechanism,. Also this model atill has the plastic spacer, a straight giveaway. Get the one with the metal spacer.

Plus all the auto 212s have the more incorrect dial. To get the better dial you have to switch to the Seagull movement/dial/hands. No sense buying the one with the Swiss 7750, then. Buy the A7750 for the better case and then swap in the Seagull dial/hands/movement and have it relumed.

That's as close to Ultimate as you'll get for that model.

Here is my 212, from Joshua. Yes, the minute ticks point inward, rather than out and the "1" on the minute totaliser has (horrors!) a seriph.

But overall, it is a lovely watch... I can live with those flaws.

EDIT to add... if you are really looking for perfection, try to track down a version with an AR sapphire crystal. These are getting hard to find, now... but I think that Joshua still has the very similar Regatta Flyback with sapphire.
