Welcome to another TD interview everyone, thanks for coming. Grab a drink and relax while we have a chat with Sead from Supermirrors.

Sead has been around for a long time and I am sure many of you know of him. Here's the chance to know a little bit more.

Hi Sead, thanks for agreeing to let me interview you for the forums. So, how old are you now?

I am 32 years old

Are you originally from China?

No.

What is your favorite food? Do you like to cook?

I like to eat, but cook oh no, much easier to eat! My favorite, well I can always go for good steak, but for some reason I love sushi.

What is your native language? Are you bilingual?

I speak 3 languages, English is my worst even tho i finished university in the states

Are you married? Any children?

yea i m married, i do have a child too

What about you is the most important that people should know?

I think people more or less they know about me.

What is your favorite watch brand right now?

hhmmm right now fav brand, i would say ap probably, or pam, they kinda never go away
How did you get into this business?

How i got into bus, long story, i will try to cut it short,
i was in school, real estate was booming, i used my savings and bought a pre-construction house to flip it within a year and make some money. well the builder finished it 18 months later than it supposed. by the time house was finished and moved in marked stopped and started to go backwards. next thing u know i cant afford my bills with one job so i went into online sales, was ebay powerseller at one time (not watches, electronics) . bought couple of good reps at the time for me, friends started asking me and from there all started.

Is what you do dangerous? Do you have a lot of stress due to the legalities of what you do?

I think it is, its illegal so it is, but im small so hopefully will be all good. of course there is stress, but last 10 years everything became stress every job.

Is business lucrative for you? Are you wealthy?

Wealthy? far away from it. profits are much smaller than people think. the positive thing is, i saw how is to live with debt, so i cut my monthly expenses and put them to minimum, so i can live by being small dealer.

What do you think peoples biggest misconception is with high-end replicas?

Hard to answer this about high end reps, but sometimes they think they will get better watch if they pay more which is not necessary true. (They think) they will get same like gen quality.

Where do you see the replica market in 5 years?

Rep market in 5 years, i think we will see less reps and harder to ship to the west

What other hobbies and interests do you have?

Other hobbies... nothing really major. I like to be into many different things at least to have a touch

Are some replicas really just sneaking out of the back door of the genuine factory?

Maybe they are sneaking but I hardly believe so, unless cheap brands like armani, hugo boss etc

How many Ferrari's does the noobmaker own now?

China likes big cars, even regular cars have extended wheel base, might be too small for him, but maybe a rolls phantom tho.

The percent of high end reps made is very small comparatively, right? Why do people take the risk for such a small market, is the profit worth it?

Yes there is much smaller market for high end, but in business they say, there is a niche for everything and everybody
so i think they found their niche and profits there.

Over the past year or two, which highly anticipated release wound up being the biggest flop?

I could not say flop as most of them were wold pretty good, but i hate cases like when they release something and we dont see it again for 3-4 months.

Is there anything new coming out that we should be excited about?

To be honest im kinda exited about kv bronzo, let see it

What is the highest quality replica you have ever seen?

Highest quality, hhmm seen all kinds of things, some with gen movements and so on, but i think ap diver noob with swiss selita was really good in my opinion.

Do factories really try to make reliable products or is it all superficial? Do they care if their products break a short time after they are sold?

I think they care, as quality sells, but ...

Are there any other replica products you are aware of that are made to such high specifications and accuracy? Any other guy toys for us out there? I heard there are high quality replica knives being made in China, for example.

Well i really dont kow about knifes, but there are good accesories out there but problem is knowing gen and comparing it.

That's all for now. Thanks for the read and a huge thanks to Sead for his candor. Be sure to check out Sead's section, he is often on the forum (though we all wish he would post more!) and actively updates new items and sales in his section. Keep your eye's on the latest from Sead here-

I love these interviews - makes it feel like you know who you are dealing with a little better.

Its funny how tight-lipped some seem compared to others. Sead was keeping things close to his vest on some topics.

I think that it easier to feel comfortable with the whole process when you understand the dealers role in the process and the fact that they are business people trying to do their best to get by, the same as the rest of us.

Enjoyed reading that, especially how he effectively dodges most, if not all of the questions... not to discredit him as a TD though. I recently ordered a PAM382 VSF from him and everything was perfect.
