I noticed that when asked if he wore a Rolex, Daniel Craig (as James Bond) states "no...Omega" but he pronounces it "Oh-Me-Ga" whereas I believe the majority of us would pronounce it as "Oh-May-Ga".

Is this another one of those British Vs American English language differences? Kind of how they say "Aluminium" and we say "Aluminum", or is it the way the brand name is supposed to be pronounced?

Just curious.

Omega is a greek letter so you shouldnt pronounce it American or British ;P

I speak British as well as American :)

Just never heard the "O-mee-ga" vs "O-may-ga" difference before :)

Sure, it's a Greek word, but it should be pronounced the Swiss way. :D

I think it is actually what the flying monkeys are chanting in the "Wizard of Oz" and based on that pronunciation

"Oh-mee-ga...away...um, Omeega...awayum"
