Trevors Navi straps...

who got:
pictures of the strap that comes as _STANDARD_ with the Navis he sells?
pictures of any other strap he supplys?

Overall comparison, other impression, thoughts, ideas?
I know about BOB and Gen, but BOB is lame and gen is too expensive

Well....I wouldn't call it shit exactly. I think there are more than one kind of calf deployant band out there. The one I have might be a "2nd" generation....Josh used to sell it as an upgrade for $45. I've had people tell me it looks much better than the strap they got with the old 21k navi's. Anyway I think it is the standard now on Trevor's. It isn't even close to the same quality as the newer ones though....later tonight I will take a picture of the old and new side by side off of the watch for you.

Croc looks a bit "busy", calf a bit plain...

I think I will get the standard calf, and maybe get his croc at another time... with a dupont lighter maybe.. and 1-5 mont blanc pens....

I recently bought a couple of Trevor's straps - not the ones with the holes in the long end, but the better ones that work like the genuine article. I like them - ALOT! The clasp closes beautifully, the markings on the clasp are great. The croc pattern isn't as good as the real thing, and the markings on the underside aren't correct, but functionally and cosmetically it's a pretty good buy. I've bought one for each of my Breitlings.

The only issue I've had is they're really thick, and getting them to conform to my wrist is... going slowly. I don't think you can go wrong with these. Ruby has them also.

Not sure if these pics will help. I tried to show the thickness of the padding at the lug side.

You got any info about the strap that he usually sells with his Navi?

I have no personal experience with the other style. I've remember seeing a thread where someone upgraded to this style, but I can't find it....

But, the other style has holes in the long strap, and the clasp is secured by pushing it through the hole, so it's completely different than the genuine clasp. This one is true to the original design. I personally wouldn't bother with the other version.

Also, I think my croc grain on the black strap isn't vary apparent compared to others I have seen...that actually annoyed me as I love the croc look. When it is stretched over my wrist, the lines disappear and basically look like solid plain calf. Perhaps you could ask your dealer to find you a strap with vary shallow or little croc "grain" to it.

Chief's deployant strap comparison shootout....I should have used the black croc strap...but daylight was dying and the black strap was still on my watch....plus cdzsmith1 has some great shots of the black. The older strap has an extra hole "non professionally" punched.

That should clear it up calf leather is ok then... i dont think rep croc is that good..
