I just finished watching the movie Transporter 3. Jason Stateman's character wears a Pan throughout the movie. Does anyone know which model he's wearing?
Supposibly Stateman is a huge Panerai fan and wears one throughout the Transporter series.
I also noticed the bad guy in the movie is wearing a Tag grand carrera.

Close, Dizz. It has an *alarm* that he pushes the bottom chrono pusher to turn off.

Oh, and it's a 40mm PAM074 chrono (uses a Zenith movement). 8)

At least he is consistent in his watch choice! I remember this discussion about Part I !
It's just disappointing to see his choice in cars is on a downward scale. He started off in a BMW an has been on the way down ever since........

I had that model written down somewhere but I can't find it. Anyway there was one Panerai that had an alarm. I believe it was a Radomir GMT which may be the one he was wearing. Not important, But what is funny is that every time any watch shows up in a TV show or movie, people immediately post about the fake so and so was wearing. They did this with the Transporter too. If anyone could point me to the rep that exists of this watch I'd like to see it.

Sorry I couldn't help but point out how silly the anals get. :p

I agree, but it *is* the movies.

BOSS - the 7 series he drove in the first Transporter was supposedly the only V10/6spd 7 series ever made (made especially for the movie).

Fakes - No, I don't believe there was ever a rep of the PAM074 ever made.

The saddest thing I think I've seen in Transporter series was in Transporter II (90% sure) where in a car chase he switches from automatic to manual transmission, imitating the movement of switching gears up and down when in reality the gearshift lever is still in 'D'... Can I hear an epik phail? :p

I'm always doing this now and its driving my wife mad......

We'll be watching a Tv and I'll pause and rewind it just to see what watch someone was wearing.

I haven't seen Transporter 3, but the last Pam I saw on TV was BBC 2 - Million Dollar Traders worn by the Anton Kreil (the office boss)....

When the original transporter came out, thats what made me get the 196.
The series seems to be weakening a bit!

What I was saying is that there are no Panerai reps withs alarms. So when I used to read people pointing out the tells I would fall off my chair.

Correct, AFAIK. The alarm bit for Statham's 074 was "movie magic".

Exactly what I came in this thread to say. I drive his car (well an E38 anyhow) and am disgusted he went with Audi :D

It was actually a V12 ;) and yep it was not a production car but one modified with a gearbox from an e39 540i 6. People retrofit their cars with them still, but I'd rather drive the 540i with the manual than the heavy 740iL.

Oh my God. The tell they were pointing out was an imaginary effect on a gen watch that didn't have the function. This is officially bookmarked.
