Tourbillon question

Hi all,
I'm looking to buy my first Tourbillon watch and think I will go for an IWC Portuguese.
These are the two models that I have seen

IW5046
https://puretimewatch.io/portuguese...edition-gray-dial-on-black-leather-strap.html

IW5463
https://puretimewatch.io/portuguese...dition-black-dial-on-black-leather-strap.html

I prefer the aesthetics of IW5046 but it is a bit bigger.

I have a few questions.

Does the power reserve work on the IW5046?

Which model is more reliable?

Which model is closer to gen and which colour is closest to gen?

Right now I'm leaning towards a grey IW5046.

Thanks!

The ZF IW5046 does have a working power reserve, but did you check with your TD, if those are available?

That might narrow your search down. Only asking because I am slightly interested in this model myself :)

I asked a couple of TDs, they both said the factory doesn't make them anymore.

I'm gonna look at the newly released Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon by 8F, probably a better fit for my skinny wrist anyway.

Thanks for sharing this information, I was afraid those were not available any more.
I'd like to add a tourby to my collection, too, at some point.

Here is the correct video for the blue dial I was talking about.

Thanks, that's interesting. I would still like to know the lug to lug distance, that's the critical measurement when it comes to fit on the wrist. A 44mm diameter and 50mm lug to lug is ok but a 42mm diameter and 56mm lug to lug would be too much for me.

So far I've sold every large watch I've owned after a while including the ZF Big Pilot.

I definitely want a tourbillon, I am debating between the R8 Royal Oak, 8F VC Overseas and this Big Pilot looks nice as well.
The thing I like about this Big Pilot is that it has a nice border around the tourbillon and the it does not scratch much but the size is a big problem and so is the fake moonphase.

IWC - 46mm is too big for me too. 44mm is fine. BBR has the 44mm and saw some where JB makes the 46mm. I am having a hard time tracking one down.
VC - i also looked at that too. It is way thicker than GEN. The side view looks too think. Also there is 8F and EUR factory that makes them, Can't find what the difference besides EUR is 1000RMB+ more.
RB RO is good with the rubber band, the SS bracelet looks cheap on the clasp.

The 8F VC is 11.5mm thick so not too bad. With these £100,000+ watches it's pretty much impossible to pass them as gen unless you are a millionnaire so slight differences in size isn't that problematic.

Do you know if the R8 RO will accept a ZF15500 bracelet?

I also don't know how good the blue colour is on the 8F VC, the blue on the R8 RO looks spectacular.

I went for the Royal Oak Tourbillon by 8F.

Probably the wisest choice, these IWC models are on the large size and I always end up selling them.

Definitely adding more to the collection in the coming months. Would love the Vacheron and one of the APs….
