Yep, it's pretty tight.

I've built myself a stand to keep the CG in place, and I use a modified punch and a hammer to take the pin out.

i'm afraid of using a punch & hammer.. as it might damage the CG.. it took me awhile to finally get my hands on a Toro&i aint gona wreck it.. would dripping a lil oil help.?

You can try bathing the CG in WD40, but I'm really not sure it will make any difference.

When trying to punch the pin out, the CG won't stay in place, so you need to find a way to wedge it before doing anything.

I would take a dremel and grind the edge very slightly.

True that training on a 45 euros CG is not necessarily the best idea :)
Welcome to the world of watch modding, where things are never as simple as they seemed :)

Maybe sit it on top of soft wood. Use tape on the CG.
Try using a very thin punch, push pin or finishing nail.
Bang....Stop...Look
Bang...Stop....Look.

I wonder if heating it up with the tip of a glue gun would work.

Good luck.

The probleme is that the pin is not centered, so each time you'll try to punch, the CG will tip over the rounded side. So you need to block it somehow. Do you see what I mean? Not sure I'm being understandable here :)

About the other issue, a nail file could indeed do the trick.

Very fine grit sand paper! Works like a charm for getting little dings out

I've never seen anything like that before, so for now I'm going to keep it to myself ;)

But I guess you can work something out with some pieces of soft wood (or rubber) and a vise.
