Top chrono button stopped working on Avenger

I am sure some of you have had this problem, but my top chrono button has ceased working.

I have never taken this watch apart before, but am quite au fait with doing it on other watches.

Does anyone know if this is something that is easy to remedy or am I stuck with it. I am sure its just the button.

mine has sometimes jammed. not that uncommon on the older 7750 types. you might try shaking it vigorously for a mnute or so to get it nicely wound. (don't hand wind.) then click on the second pusher, the reset button, and see if the stopwatch hand returns to correct reset position.
