Too much distortion on this crystal?

This isn't a QC photo. I've had this watch for a few months.

This is is the 617 with the DLC Ti case and sapphire and I love it, but I think the crystal has too much distortion when compared to gen. Do you guys think an upgrade would be needed and if so where to source it from?

I'm actually going through the same process but with the 629. By the look of it, this is the ZF 617. The KW/V6 617 has a much better crystal.
I've asked a TD about sourcing a V6 617 crystal for me to pop into a SF because V6 don't make a 629 but their 617 looks great. If they can't get me one, then the other option is to buy a WSO crystal from eBay for about $150. But for you if you want to upgrade the crystal, you'd be better off selling this and buying the V6. I'm tempted to buy that one myself too. It's not Ti but I don't care because you can't see it anyhow.

I love the Ti because of the weight. A noticeable difference from my 127...

I've been wondering about the quality of the WSO crystals myself. They have them for my 44 luminors ranging from 50. usd to 106 usd. Would love some input here, as I have heard both good an meh!!!

Same for DSN Crystals. There has to be a source with out trying to procure a Gen! ;-)

WSO had been previously used (and I would presume still being used) by one of the well known PAM modders, Marlin. There were some issues before (relating to the size of the crystal, which is catastrophic indeed) but I believe in the end they were worked out by the manufacturer.

Yeah, the 617 is really really ridiculously good-looking. As is the 629.

I managed to secure a V6 617 crystal for $85 through a TD. Next time you buy a watch, ask your TD to get one for you.

So will a V6 crystal work in a ZF case? DSN didn't think that one of his Fiddy crystals would work in the ZF.

No idea. No one knows. I'm trying to fit it to a SF case. Fingers crossed.
