Swiss movement versions are less accurate. For your first pam get the latest Noob or H factory 111.

thank you señor Watchman, that's an excellent watch!! I have a small issue now... if you can help me out I would really appreciate it.. I have $378 credit at watcheden.biz from a Bell & Ross 01-94 that I wanted to buy but today they tell me it's not in stock and that I should get a replacement. But when I went the see the PAMs they carry, it's somewhat difficult to point out which models they are, would you know?

Like you said, I'll go for the 111 Noob... but not swiss?? I've heard Swiss Unitas is better than the Asian version...

Swiss better quality but less accurate for the 6497
Gen uses a base Swiss 6497-2
Rep uses a base Swiss 6497-1
There are differences

The Asian copy is a copy of the 6497-2
Make sense?

The main issue with first watch from a quality perspective is also the movement
The gen uses a new in house panerai movement which has not yet been copied in rep form
The rep is using a 7750 which is different visually

If they don't have the watch you want, request a refund. You should not be obligated to pick a watch you really don't want.

thanks Fiddo... I'll probably do that... I've ordered 2 watches from Angus @ Puretime and they have been great so far with communication and service, so I'll ask for a refund and get myself a nice PAM 111.

you think it shouldn't take to long for the refund right?

The first link is a PAM 005 of unknown origin and series, then don't go to it

The second watch is a PAM 312 with A7750 mvmnt. A bordering First Cass rep (almost simple very good rep). And is the only good version of this watch with A7750 (there is another with Seagull 25j). It is a acceptable choice.

The third one is a fantasy PAM 005 Black PVD case. Non advisable.

The PAM 312 or a refund are your best choices.

So far I'm waiting on 4 watches from PT that I have ordered this week... lets hope I'll get the best of the best from them... I'll keep you guys posted..
