So I picked this piece up in Shanghai and as you can see its a black face Radiomir with SLC dial, gold hands and 6497 decorated movement...pics below.

I really like the look of the SLC dial and purchased this for its looks.

Was hoping the community can help me figure out if this is a real model or not. And whether it's worth it to mod it and to what extent.

Based on the dial and hands I figured this was a poor copy of a PAM373 Platio. Obviously not going to upgrade to a platinum case but I have been considering swapping out the cheap mineral crystal for a plexi. I also just ordered the correct rep strap for a 373, those two mods would make the watch on the wrist look truer to the gen, at least that's what I was thinking.

However I just noticed the 373 is polished (platinum) and this case is brushed, in fact the display case back is stamped Titanium. As far as I can tell there is no SLC dial Radiomir with a titanium case.

Perhaps I'm better off just buying a polished case with plexi already in it for $50 and putting these guts in it and then selling off the titanium? That would be an easier route to better wrist presence.

Thoughts, ideas appreciated!

I think you have a nice fantasy there, what is it 47 or 45?
If you want.to build a 373 rep with parts, you need.to source at.least a 47mm polished ss radiomir case, a new.plexi crystal, a brown dial, double pencil gold hands lumed to match the dial. Then you have to take care of the caseback/movement.

I have seen one for sale on RWG a.few.months ago, so it's possible to build such a watch, you only need.some time and patience.to find the parts :)

It's a 47mm. There aren't too many Ti Radiomirs in a 47mm, mix of Minerva and Tourbillions.. Guess the face of this watch is more like a 425 with the black dial. Guess I should just appreciate for what it is...
