Hi to all

Just wanted to share my solution as I was looking for a moment for an easy solution and I find that one :

You have a GF, a wife or a sister ....you will be able to do the same... :D

Here is the tool.... (3 to 5 $... )

Begin with 1, then 2

and finished with 3

Not so hard and excellent results for the tiny scratches... :D

Thanks mate. Any before/after pics?

Also, is this good only for SS or will it work on Ti as well?

Nice tip. You can also get these as pads, which I find easier to use when brushing an entire bracelet, but I suppose for touch ups these emery boards are better. Thanks for sharing with the community.

I'd love to see some pics on this before I start filing away. I just want an idea of how effective it will remove scratches.

These things are best for removing "swirlies" on watches, not so much deep scratches. For the deep ones you can have a go with the coarsest side but you will be filing for quite a while. I would personally use the sandpaper method for removing deep scratches (start low grit and work your way up). Another way is to use a dremel with the appropriate abrasive to save you time, but more precaution should be taken with power tools.

+1 exactly...just the tiny ones will disapeared with this kind of "tools" ..for the deep ones use the sand paper and after apply this tool for the finish

This method for taking our scratches works PERFECTLY!!!!

I stole a 4 sided one from my wife (with 7 different grits), shhhhhh - don't tell or my a$$ is grass.

It is numbered 1-7 (course to shine). I found #4 (even out) is PERFECT for even deeper scratches in brushed SS (no additional steps needed). Works much better than Scotch Bright pads.

For the polished sections I start with #5 (smooth), then #6 (buff), then #7 (shine). Oh, did I mention - PERFECT!!!!!!

Now I just have to get balls to try it on some gens (not there yet).

[sorry, I didn't think to take pics as I was just messing around looking for different methods (i.e. liquid polish, Scotch Bright, etc..., etc... .)

Anyone tried this method and get a good result?
Some comparison shots will be great.
