I am very close to buying a watch from Timely Watches USA, have seen a few positive reviews but wanted more feed back to make sure its not just the seller posting about himself. I know he is not a TD here and was wondering if anyone knew him. He said he has the watch in stock and can get it soon and no one else has this watch currently from my research without waiting a month. Thanks so much

Just because he said it, doesn't make it true. If he has a watch that no one else can get, take that as a red flag. I suggest you buy from a TD, they are trusted for a reason.

Hey, I’m not going to say what you should and shouldn’t do, and the guys that answered you above have been doing this for a lot longer than I have. For the most part, I have stuck with TDs that are listed here (Li at Jtime being my personal fav). I gave Timely a shot recently and the experience was phenomenal. Got 4 pieces super fast and the quality was excellent (That’s a $2500 order that he totally could’ve scammed me on). He’s not as systematic with the QC, but he’s getting the good shit and the shipping is pretty insane (like a week until I got my stuff) compared to my other experiences with TDs. YMMV, but Aseem has my business.
Long time lurker. I've bought several watches from Timely Watches before. I never had an issue. He was more expensive, but I got the watches really fast and the quality was excellent. Some of those were re-plated by Flan and turned out really good, save one, which was a two-toned jubilee. The color was excellent, but the sides of the middle liks were not plated and it just bothers me. Re-plated ones took much longer to arrive, but I still eventually received them. But I digress...Aseem was very responsive to any question I asked and the customer service was very good.
I've also bought from some other TDs (the One, Trusty Time, etc.) and never had issues. They were cheaper than Timely, but it took longer to arrive.
I did my research on Timely before buying from him and was aware of his background before hand, which made me anxious. Main reason I went through with the initial purchase was that the reviews were overwhelmingly positive and he was very responsive to my questions and was never pushy. Some of the other Facebook groups' dealers were just plain rude or didn't bother to respond.
Would I get something else from Aseem? Yes. I have another on order, which is to be re-plated by Flan, but I think that might be it. I have pretty much all the reps I desire and want to get some vintage watches to finish my collection.

And no, it’s not very surprising that he can source the watch faster. TDs are all about doing everything as cheap as possible.
Meanwhile you pay premium from aseem who has the watches in HK either in stock or within a week, then on fedex to be at your door in 3 days or less. No 1 month shipping nonsense.
Can provide plenty of screenshots, he’s been nothing but good to work with. I had a watch arrive damaged despite being in 15 layers of bubble wrap, and he had it replaced and in my hand in under a week. What TD can do that?
The TDs are good because you have the RWI staff on your side, or at least they’ll mediate, so I wouldn’t recommend Aseem if you want the best safety/dispute resolution. But I’ve personally had zero issues with him, everything he’s delivered has been what he said it was.
He also has a guy in the US who can work on your watches (to a degree, nothing crazy), plate them, etc, and that guy is at least verified on the other rep forum.
Some of them were even cheaper than TDs, others more expensive, depends on the watch/factory.
People who say stick with TDs aren’t wrong. There have been 30000000 sellers that have been good and then suddenly started scamming. With TDs you don’t really run that risk. Ultimately it’s up to your risk tolerance, and don’t go bothering people here if you get scammed by a non TD.

Not a dime. Maybe some people don’t want to wait a long time for a basic Sub rep to be shipped from China.
But I’m curious why they have such a bad reputation on this forum. Particularly Flan, whose work generally gets positive reviews.

Flan is an excellent plater, probably the best but he is partnered with a literal criminal and also, he insists on doing services that often turn out worse than before he started. If he stuck to what he does best, electroplating and ditched his partner there would be no issue.

I've had some work done with Flan with another on the way. Two were excellent, but the two-tone was disappointing. Now trying to figure out a way to fix it...or maybe just get a new one.

Aren’t the TDs technically criminals as well? It’s essentially organized crime in China, not to mention every TD is literally a criminal by Chinese standards. Just seems weird to say one guy is a criminal when our TDs are dodging the police at their shipment and pickup points…
I will say I did NOT know about what Aseem did lol, I just googled it, holy shit lol. Really surprising he’s not in jail.
Also, flan does other services because people beg for them from him. He doesn’t actually want to do most of them is what he told me. He’s good enough to replace your crown, crystal, etc or something though. For full service and plating I’d go with Nikz.
