So I ordered the swiss IHS Ceramic GMT master last week.
I was excited about it because of the better cutouts on the ceramic bezel that LoS pointed out (read thread)
I was expecting a watch with the bezel that was pictured.

Well I received it yesterday...and the cutouts aren't any better. Just standard like Josh/Andrew/Angus/etc are
carrying.

So I emailed Robert over my disappointment and how to resolve this.

I was expecting him to just say 'ship it back' for a refund or he'll source me the correct one, etc...

Instead, he goes on a rant implying that I'm starting 'drama' and he can tell i'm going to
be a 'prick' about it (i'm assuming its because i posted in a sales thread about the font differences)...

1. i just sent him an email about my issues
2. he could of simply said just send it back instead of throwing in the 'prick' statement
3. its just hilarious to me that he would immediately jump to the conclusion i want to start drama

I didn't want to copy/paste emails because it would be inappropriate, but I do offer them as proof in case
Time4Direct wants to bash me.

Some good points:
1. pre-sale communication is excellent. respond quickly to emails. perfect grasp of the English language, so any
questions, technical or otherwise get answered without lengthy explanation

2. got here in 5 days or so. bubble wrapped.

THIS IS NOT IN ANY WAY TO INFLUENCE YOUR DEALINGS WITH TIME4DIRECT. THIS IS SIMPLY MY FIRST EXPERIENCE
WITH THEM & I'M SHARING THAT SINCE THIS BOARD IS ABOUT INFORMATION AND GEARED TO THE PROTECTION
OF ITS MEMBERS.

So hopefully Time4 doesn't think i'm a 'super prick' by writing this little review, but in everything I do I have to
be honest.
I don't think this makes him a bad dealer....just needs some lessons on how to deal with people with different tolerances with flaws.

He could of just wrote...'send it back'...

You know we are not suppose to critique in their sale threads. But I would assume that he is a bit testy right now due to TTKs BS that was stared over on the kids forum. TTK made a HUGE retarded deal about the him using the word SWISS. It was shameless IMO. I am sure that this is just a misunderstanding and that one or both of you are jumping to conclusions. Write the man and tell him you are sorry for crapping his sales thread and that you dont want to be a prick. I am sure this small little issue can be resolved diplomatically.

problem is...its not thread crapping...i simply wrote i didn't receive the 'thinner' bezel font that LoS pointed out...

threadcrapping to me implies there is some intent to be damaging...simply writing in
the thread that i noticed visual differences doesn't constitute that...

Maybe he is a little testy, due the TTK drama. However, a good dealer should never call a customer a "prick" for having an issue. IMHO, he is acting just like TTK. I was planning a buy from this dealer, but now I am reconsidering. Thanks for sharing your experience. That is exactly why I come here.

I say the dealer did went a bit overboard in his ad...One could easily draw a similar conception like dylan...

To the dealers's defense, did you specify the thinner font when ordering...

I always make a point on little details like those as most dealers would care or notice that kind of difference when selling...Especially the drop shippers...

A little reminder goes a long way IMO...And you would have a recourse if the product that came in is not what you have ordered...

Well maybe thge dealer using the word "prick" is over the top. However, you are a paying customer and he is on probation. With that said he should be yielding to your displeasure of the item received.

TTK's drama with him is T4D problem. When I have a problem with someone I don't take it out and re-direct my anger in some other way. So stop making excuses for him people. Some of you wil agree, some wont. The fact is when you pay and the "claim" is you are getting what you want then you should get what you pay for. The only time you don't complain is when you get it for free. The Shill website phoney forum for Jam- Screw known as Repgeek loves that controversey, as long as Jam-screw is not implicated or smeared. I must have 4 active usernames over there and read some of the crap. I rad about this and one thing is for sure, TTK needs an attitude adjustment. He'll get one in a few weeks. As for T4D, just a word to the wise. Be careful with thos words like "swiss" and "1:1" they will get you in trouble. Yoiu have nice stuff and be sure what you show is what you sell or I would think your probation will not go well.

I was reading some stuff over there on the kids forum about PWC. As childish as RG is, I take back my original post in this thread.... This guy has gone off the deep end. Somebody has really pissed in his Corn Flakes. Dylan, sorry about that man.

Distressing to think that on top of paying good money for sub- par products, you get attitude as a side dish.

I responded to Dylan with the 1st words if you are not happy just send it back. What more could I do? Why the need to post to the tread it was already resolved and to post to another tread about something totally unrelated. As for looking for another watch for him well I don't see where I am obliged to do any more than refund him. He has created drama when the situation was already resolved as far as I was concerned I don't know what he was hoping to achieve by this when he had been already told if it didn't suit him then send it back for a refund. Does any other dealer do differently then. Because it would seem that a refund is not enough judging by this thread.

No it's only distressing if no offer was made to resolve it! I told him send it back if you are not happy what is distressing about that?

It only got silly when he decided that just getting a refund was not good enough so posted to the treads.

So if anyone should be distressed it's me because if offering an immediate refund is not enough I am very concerned at what is.

I am also very concerned as to what is thought by buyers are doing QC on the watch it would seem that some consider testing the timekeeping and generally looking for any obvious faults is not enough this is very worrying considering they are used to getting watches dropshipped with out any QC at all.

I really think some buyers expect us to spend hours with a loupe to our eye looking to compare to a Gen we happen to have by our side to make their watch the same as the Gen

2poor and Robert. Please let this discussion die in this thread. This is Dylan's thread about Dylan's experience. This is going to be challenging enough getting all the facts about this one transaction without bringing in discussion about other threads on different fora. Please stick to the discussion at hand ONLY in this thread.

Thank you.

Just to add a bit to this topic, I've ordered from Rob and been talking a fair bit with him recently. Unfortunately my first delivery had a problem, Rob did all I could reasonably expect without any pushing from me and the problem piece is being replaced.
So far, in my experience anyway, Rob is also quite rare in this little world, in that he doesn't bother with bullshit answers. In my case, someone at his end f**ked up and didn't make the corrections Rob had requested after he had spotted the problem during a QC check-over prior to shipping, and he told me exactly that, no stories, no BS, admitted the problem and promised to fix it. I can't really ask for more and expect someone to stay in business.
I could have posted how my very first order was faulty, but I'd rather judge someone by how they fix their problems as they will happen to the best of businesses. So far Rob has earned top scores with me for direct honesty - a rare commodity- but perhaps something we're just not used to?
As regards the PWC side of things, T4D have never hidden the fact they are a new sales direction for an existing larger business (but I'd thought they were Time4u2Look over on iOffer?), so again I'll judge them by how the people handling this side of things deal with me.
