A couple of weeks ago, a new dealer popped up here and blew me away with an avalanche of rep postings. I resisted as long as I could but eventually it all became too much and I had to give in. I ordered 2 reps from him - a white Breitling SOSF and a black Patek Phillipe Aquanaut.
I am sure you all know the dealer I am referring to, none other than Time4Direct.
This posting is a short review of the white Breitling SuperOcean SteelFish I received from him.

BUYING
First off, it was refreshing to deal with someone who not only spoke (or typed in this case) decent english, but also understands watches and the key points we as collectors look for.
Having decided what I wanted, following emails back and forth, I paid for the watches via PayPal. They arrived pretty quickly, approx. 4 days via EMS, cosily sleeping in bubblewrap.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Having not owned a Breitling before, the first thing that struck me was the weight of this watch. The bracelet feels great but all the weight seems to be in the actual watch. This is a substantial piece of metal, in fact, it could be classed as a weapon by some police forces
The second impression was what a great looking watch it is. The white face was definitely my favourite in the photos and seeing it in the flesh, I was proven right. Without seeing a gen next to it, it looks like it could be perfect [smilie=angel10.gif]
THE MOVEMENT
The movement in this watch is an Asian 21J. I haven't opened the caseback, but according to T4D's description, and as proven by the one KBH received, it contains a nicely engraved movement and rotor, held in place by a steel movement holder as in the ETA version of the watch. This is a distinguishing feature when compared to the cheapest versions of this rep, which have a plastic movement holder.
As I didn't open the caseback, please take a look at KBH's review and great photos here:

The only flaw I have found with the movement is its power reserve. I am hoping it will improve with time and the more I wear it. I have had the following performance so far:
1st/2nd time worn - 7 hours
3rd/4th time worn - 8 hours
5th/6th time worn - 10 hours
COMPARISON
Unfortunately, I do not have any up-to-date material to compare the watch against, particularly as this one has the new second hand with the arrow instead of the square. Many of the photos on the net are of the old version. When comparing it to the older version, it looks pretty spot on. I would dare to go as far as saying it is a super rep, in that it is pretty indistinguishable from a gen.
The case back is deeply engraved as is the inside of the deployant clasp....
The back of the clasp is also nicely engraved.....
...as is the B on the crown....
...and here the view from the other side, with the pressure valve....
The bracelet is easily re-sized by removing 4 small screws (2 per link). It is a bit of a jigsaw due to its unusual, slanted links but pretty straight forward.
The lume is above average for a rep but as usual, doesn't have a long life.....
The watch is also meant to have AR (unlike the cheapest version) but I do not know how to verify it.
The only issue I found with mine is that the top of the rotating bezel, where the pearl is, doesn't line up correctly with the 12 marker. It is either one click to the left or one click to the right. You can see it in the photo below.....
Not 100% happy with that but I can live with it given the quality of the rest of the watch. Either that or I am too forgiving [smilie=angel10.gif]
CONCLUSION
I am extremely happy with this watch since receiving it and have worn it pretty much every day. I would highly recommend the Breitling SOSF to anyone who is in search of a rep that screams gen
