Hi there I'm a newbie here I've only been reading up on you guys postings but I came across a question, so I wanted to ask y'all..

I ordered a couple watches from Intime watches with Ryan and the time graph shows +7s/d and other numbers are good. I asked to see if they can regulate it down to +/-2s a day but Ryan is saying they only keep it +/-10s. Is this normal? Any tips on this to regulate the watch.to better time keeping?

Tha m you for your time! I'd appreciate your inputs..!

Hi and welcome to RWI! Glad you found your way here.

That's nothing to worry about, those readings' purpose is to show the watch is working. Position of the watch, how much it's been winded all affect timegrapher results. Having it regulated in china doesn't make much sense if you really want it, after shipping it will show other values in any case.

Please take some time to read the sticky threads in the new members area (all subsections), learn the basic forum rules and get some very good advice in the process. A number of questions has already been answered there, this is just an example:

Another good thread to read to understand where RWI comes from and some fundamentals is this:

Most of the information you need to know to start is there. If you're preparing to buy, read the stickies before ordering. When you're finished, you can continue learning by reading the stickies in all remaining sections. If it's stickied, it's important information.

That is a whole second under COSC spec limits (+8s/-6s).

What else do you demand for a cheap Chinese copy? 🤷🏼 Better than METAS specs? 🤔
Lol some of these rep companies are proud of their workmanship too. There are copies of clean factory around which is crazy. And 6-700$ is not cheap imo. Tissot Prx is around 5s/d which is at similar price point.

You're not seriously comparing very cheap counterfeit products put together in dirty sweat shops with outdated machinery, that cost 5% or less of the respective authentic time piece, with the products of the world's second-largest horology conglomerate which has an annual revenue of 8 billion Swiss francs? 🤔

If you are serious, your logical conclusion should be to always buy a Tissot instead of a counterfeit watch for 6-700 USD.

Within 7 secs is a great rep watch specs for sure.

We are speaking about rep watches with chinese made movement (not swiss) and it is already great well within the 10 secs bracket.

Just need to keep the fingers crossed that the postal service do not damage the watch while packed in transit.

Thanks

🤣🤣
Times must be rough rn.

Thank you, this comment made my day.
🤣🤣
If your boss gets pissed off at you for being 5 -10 seconds late just blame the rep and who made it.
🤣🤣

Should of bought a Tissot 🤣🤣

Here is some food for thought.

**Beat Number**
The frequency of a movement, measured by the number of balance wheel swings per hour (bph). This varies depending on the watch model.

- 14,400 bph = 4 beats per second
- 18,000 bph = 5 beats per second
- 21,600 bph = 6 beats per second
- 28,800 bph = 8 beats per second

**Lift Angle**
The angle the balance passes through while interacting with the pallet fork, crucial for calculating amplitude. Most modern watches have a lift angle of 50-52 degrees, with a typical range of 44-58 degrees. Co-axials often have a 30-degree angle.

**Rate**
The speed at which the movement runs, measured in seconds per day (s/d).

- Great: +/- 5 s/d
- Acceptable: +/- 12 s/d

If outside these ranges, adjustments can be made by you or your dealer.

**Amplitude**
The amount of rotation in the swing of the balance wheel. Amplitude is higher when the watch is lying flat and usually decreases in a vertical position due to increased friction. It can also decrease as the mainspring unwinds.

- Great: 270-310
- Acceptable: 250-270

If amplitude is too high or too low, consider servicing the watch.

**Beat Error**
The discrepancy in the duration of the swing from one side to the other in the balance wheel’s oscillation. A beat error close to zero indicates the roller jewel is perfectly centered.

- Great: 0.0-0.5 ms
- Acceptable: 0.6-1 ms

If beat error is higher, servicing or replacement may be needed.

*Note: QC results typically show measurements with the watch lying flat. Measurements may vary in different positions.*

Hope this helps.
😊✌️
