....so I think I have to step in a bit.

1) I purchased the watch around 1.5 years ago....the cost was around US 380$ (the watch is unused, it was only trimmed vintage to give it an authentic look).
2) The changes and works on the watch were done by a watchmaker and he charged a big amount as well....you know what a watchmaker costs the hour!
3) the cracked calf strap and the huge GPF style buckle are no rep-crap....they were also US 110$ (and the strap is unused, just put on my wrist for the pics and after that the whole watch got back in the box).
4) I surfed the websites and photobuckets of most of our well known dealers....no chance to get this model anymore....and Davidsen has got beautiful vintage pieces, but he does not have this model and his watches are kind of "manufactored vintage / mechanichally vintage" my watch was aged by hand!

All in all I think US 400$ is a good price shipped to the buyers door....if someone will not like....he can pass.

...anyway, this was just to ...lets say justify my price....

Best wishes mates,
Theo

many thanks for all the input, this forum is terrific.

While waiting, I picked up another 63.

Still a bit undecided on the vintage.

Enzo, thanks for your 411 my friend, your vintage pieces sparked my whole obsession.

Can you post some additional pics here. like the back and the movement. While my first thought was you can get this from Davidsen, but I don't think his are that much less. On the other hand his vintage models copy the Rolex movement using the russian, and all in all you know what your getting from Davidsen and it quality right out of the box. Strap and buckle should be factored in also, again post pics. I can say I like, but wasn't tempted........ HEY it's NOT DESTRO otherwise I might have been all over it.

Hi Enzo,

Well I have had many people say I live in a FANTASY world! LOL

Seriously though I love to hear your analysis on watches, along with your grasp of watchmaking and history!

Not meaning to hijack the post but I saw your post of the 2 hand dial for the titanium pam and since there seems to be a shortage of 056 and 117 pam reps was wondering if Davidsens ti could be used to make into one of these models temporarily using the 2 hand dial Destro till a proper Destro three hand dial could be had?

No back to your local thread. Pros and Cons as Enzo stated, like a lot of reps, I'm sure there is a good home for it here somewhere.

Enzo, you'd be able to buy a small 3rd world country or a small tropical island if you had a sales section for your vintage pieces.

I really like the 6152-1, but...just my luck....this model is no longer being made and is unavailable.

I'm no expert but I will say Davidsen does fantastic work and he's not much more expensive than the other big names. I've just got a 183 fromm him, superb, even the excellent quality strap!! bravo!!

Re: Pam 6152/1

Hey. looks like a nice watch though your photo skills might actually be worse than mine, BUT start your own thread, and read up on the photo threads, including how to post the img in the thread!
