Saw this on a facebook group for watch sales and trades and it just does not look right.... Im not PAM expert so I figured Id ask the experts here before someone makes a $35k mistake.

Since this isn't a sale thread, I hope picture links are ok.

dial looks ok

The movement is whats off to me.. The (winding gear and ratchet wheel) silver gears look decorative and the main tell (I think) for me is the balance wheel not having adjustment screws..

This is the image of the legit movement clearly has adjustment screws on the balance wheel.

Yes, you’re right, the minerva balancing wheel with adjusting inertia screws. I can assume that the photo was taken in motion, and they blurred. Rep movement is obvious, and it’s not it, but to fake a watch in a platinum case, changing only some movement nodes, would be unjustified, in my opinion.

I Dont know.. I mean if the balance wheel was in motion and it was blurring out, it would have a similar effect on the balance spring and there would be a blurry line around the balance wheel but it doesnt. Plus, this movement runs at 18 bph (i think) so it would be visible imo.

I know it doesnt make sense to replace parts of a gen with rep parts but every scam has an odd reason and scams can make no sense to the person who got scammed.

Plus, the sticker on the case back refers to 260, which im not sure if that is the ref number but it sure looks like it. IDK.

There's a few people on it thats considering it too. I hope for their sake that this is all legit.

Yes, I agree with you, the balance wheel came out on the photo is not beautiful ... Here is a photo of the first movement minerva with chrono24, and it looks a bit like that, the screws are not visible, but the spring is fixed. Perhaps this is the specificity of fixing the image of the camera, for a different nature of movement. In general, the movement details and the overall finish look original to me, but I did not hold either gen or rep in my hands, so I can only speculate in this regard. And yes, the sticker is in a bad place ...

Yes, do not think that I am skeptical of your thoughts. I also think this is a very interesting question and a useful study. A photo for the sale of such an expensive watch must be excellent and indisputable, because I understand your concern!
